Thank you for your question! My layout is setup in an L shape formed by 2x 7ft x 4ft plywood panels with an insulating foam layer on top. So my layout has a length of 11ft at its longest edge, 4ft at one end, and 7ft at the other end.

Hello there! Thank you for your question. I used the EZ-Track because I happened to come across a bunch of it for cheap quite some time ago. In hindsight, I might have gone either way as I could have used EZ-Track , or regular track. If you are looking for more realism and flexibility in track design, you should probably use regular track, like Hornby's, or long segments of flex track. These options would give you much more flexibility in designing and building your layout as there are a variety of pre-made set radii track sections in addition to the nearly limitless radii options with flex track. However, you must take in mind that you will have to build a track bed in addition to installing the track (if that is something you want for your layout). The Bachmann EZ-Track is much more limited in the available radii of the tracks, as well as having to work with the limited types of points that Bachmann has available. However, it is very easy to work with and already has a track bed built in to the track segments that (sort of) already looks like ballast. As most of the EZ-Track I used on my layout was previously owned, the track I acquired was cheap, but the Bachmann EZ-Track points that I needed for my layout were a bit pricey. However, as I was already invested in the EZ-Track system on my layout, I never really checked to see the cost comparison with regular Hornby track. In the end, I am mostly satisfied with the choice I made with my layout, with only dealing with the lack of flexibility of the EZ-Track radii being the main issue of complaint. The choice is up to you on whether you feel that you want to use EZ-Track, Hornby/Regular Track Sections, or Flex Track for your layout.

It's actually both of the Bachmann Thomas that are chuffing; the regular blue Thomas and the LBSC Thomas.

Its a real model, it was released in this year.

The LBSC Thomas is a real model that you can purchase from Bachmann. However, this one has been modified as it actually contains the internals of the Bachmann Sound Thomas so he chuffs and whistles around the layout.

I've thought about it as it is way to big! He's actually too big to fit under my main station's pedestrian bridge and the branch line tunnel portal!. One option is to find or make a removable Toby's face to put on my Rapido Trains LNER J70 which would be the correct proportion as it is the locomotive Toby is based on.

The inner branch line on the left and the inner main line on the left are 18 inch radius Bachmann EZ Track which is roughly equivalent to 2nd radius. The outer main line curve I believe is a 33.25 inch radius Bachmann EZ Track which I think is greater than 4th radius.

Yep! I can see a Rapido GNR Stirling class G 4-2-2 single, a LMS Stanier class 5MT 4-6-0 “Black 5” and a Rapido GER Holden class C53 0-6-0T. All are the basis’s of characters like Toby, Henry and Emily.

The guy probably has more of those fancy OO models.
