Once you see it you can't unsee it and it's just so much fun to pay attention to it during a rewatch. Sometimes it's even funny.

Not only is the design of the show itself masterful, but this video is presented, edited, written so well. It's been stuck in my brain now for basically two years.

I just love this show. The writing is par ahead of any comedy show i have ever seen.

both shows are so perfect but your right one is a show about characters who don't change(expt kim who feels very very similar to walt) as supposed to bb which had a mix of both

Does anyone know if Harmon was influenced by Kurt Vonnegut? The Greendale flag looks like one of Vonnegut’s signature drawings and KV famously lectured about the literal shapes of stories.

Just a bit of a question, not about this great video but about Nope. I haven’t seen the movie, but the themes of “our addiction to spectacle” -and it being portrayed as mostly negative- and the theme of “black people are not fairly given enough spectacle“ sound somewhat contradictory No? 1. I haven’t seen the movie 2. I’m myself black 3. Please don’t take this comment as anything more than a philosophical question of possible contradiction. Not political or racial in nature. THANK YOU

I knew about the Breaking Bad colour theory but I'd never heard of this. Bravo Vince really did a fantastic job with the visual details. Brilliant video, I learned a lot about visual storytelling.

This is what makes Chicanery work so well. That entire episode is blue. Everyone should be on the same side, but the fact of it being a trial makes antagonists and protagonists as apparent as can be. It's bright, unbearable proof of what Mike told Dan, presented in neutral, comfortable colors. The red encroaching in the walls and the exit signs, like a cobra. What's legal and what's good are not the same. Chuck has never broken the law once, and is an elitist douchebag. Nacho has been a criminal since forever, and is the most reasonable person in the entire show.

During this video I realized that the Wexler-McGill logo in Jimmy and Kim's office is used to separate blue and yellow paint, representing Kim and Jimmy respectively, and the fact that at this point, their lives are starting to separate.

Major spoilers for the end of season 6 //// In the scene where Howard is killed, Kim is wearing pink. In BB, pink represented innocence, and I think it does in this sense too, in a different way: Kim has never seen anyone murdered before, she is innocent and naive in this sense. If you look at Jimmy, who has seen someone killed before at this point, he isn’t wearing pink; but as the video points out, in the scene from the boarder deal where he does see someone killed for the first time, guess what he’s wearing? Pink.

This was such a great video and really helped me get the idea of it!!! You're so talented! I can't believe that episode of community (and probably others) gave everyone a story arc 😮

Dan Harmon is probably one of the great creatives of our time. This was wildly fascinating!!!

This is an absurd amount of detail to put into storytelling. No wonder the end result just feels well done, Because on sheer effort of storytelling devices alone, it objectively is.

Talk about drinking your own words. In one episode, Jimmy argues that he's trying to save water by not flushing the toilet after every use. And now he's drinking his own urine out of his former law firm's bottle

This show has a value in re-watchability

Nobody ever understands how brilliant Vince Gilligan
