@@sincerelyshannadee yes! I also like how the cards themselves have keywords for the rune meanings. It’s pretty cool in that you’re learning the runes and about the goddesses in the cards.
The Woodland Wardens finally made its way into my collection and the guidebook really does elevate the deck. Ooo, I like the idea of using a busy collage deck for creative inspiration, that's clever. My grandma and mother both read Nora Roberts. I think it's time I take up that mantle, too, you've inspired me-I NEED some low-stakes fluff right now. Thank you for the video!
@@RoaenHere Nora Roberts feels very nostalgic without feeling dated. She has some quirks with her male characters that feel a little "questionable" but she's just enjoyable to read and she has a very diverse collection - definitely check her out! 🤭 Thank you for being here!

Loved seeing your decks for the month. That voyager tarot is one I've considered getting, I'm seriously obsessed with collage decks 😅

Enjoyed catching up with you. I have to check out that secret garden oracle. That was my favorite childhood book. And heartwood has a storybook feel. Wonder if they’d pair well? Looked very cute.
Oh and I completely get you on prescheduling and pressure. I have a tendency to do that, go into hyper planning, thinking it will make things easier or more clear or whatever. But then I feel like I’m in a box or cage and something inside me rebels and wants to break out 😂 I’m doing the running list idea. Also going to try it with my boring chores and such and just make a point that the goal is 1 video a week, 3 tasks per day. Doesn’t matter what. Less stifling.

I have a deck similar to it - Le Femme Erotiques - and it's even more out there because it's real vintage photography. I love it so much, but UA-cam does not like it. 😂

I gasped when you shared it it was a book always out in my childhood home and is a nostalgia trip! Little house on the prairie was books!!!! No!!! It's a favorite of mine to sit and just flip through 🥰 And yeah, as a kid, the Little House on the Prairie books baffled me when I realized they existed because I couldn't quite figure out how Laura Ingalls, having grown up in the 1800s, could have possibly written a book in my era. I think the Puritans is a good match. You totally matched the time period, but there are still Puritans. 😶 I'm always looking for interesting raunchy decks. I like it when the artist gives it a theme, or a flair, that one's going on the wishlist. What an original reason for a collection! I have a few books that I keep for the cutting up... but I have chickened out. I have old magazines I kept. All this stuff will probably just end up in landfill. I think your reasoning is sound! 😊 OH, and the Bambi book? totally could have been in one of Adam Oehlers illustrations. I am getting all those decks (post OAT) in my package. My son bought them for me for Mother's day. 😊

I really liked the cards in the mindscapes deck so I will definitely keep watch for that mass market release. Every junk journaler uses the pages from the edwardian lady in their junk journals, I love those images. ❤ Great pairings with your books

Shanna, no joke, I went and impulse bought both of these after seeing this video today. Thankfully etsy has payment plans. I'm not supposed to be buying decks! Oi. But I had watched Ever Onwards video of Sweet Fool and then found yours and am hooked on this pair. Seems is a special one from the looks of it. (and would be unique addition to my collection since I have no photo decks so that's my excuse! lol). Have you worked with them since? I'm curious to know how that's gone.
Ohh haha, I've been there! I hope you love them both! I haven't used them recently. Sweet Fool is more of a winter or early spring deck for me so it'll be some time before I pull her back out. Death Doula gets used all year though and adore!
@@sincerelyshannadee Death Doula has since arrived and I'm surprised how much I like it already! I wasn't sure I would connect with it. I dunno, something about it though clicks. I could totally see these being a winter combo. The two of them together makes me think of music by Forest Swords, which is late winter music for me also.

I'm listening to your calm narratives of decks, and it occurred to me, maybe you could do an empty nest (or if there's a better tag) tarot decks, that doesn't necessarily have to be crone, or maybe it is. I don't know. I have watched all of your videos, and I think I'm roughly your age, but I didn't have kids, and I appreciate when you talk about having kids that are on their own now. Why I keep thinking of videos for you, and yet I still haven't recorded and released my first, well that's probably a therapy session I need to have. :( Please, ignore this comment, unless it sparks something. Thank you for your videos and presence. I appreciate your calm and soothing videos. I watch them when I am craving calm and soothing, which is often. Thank you.

@@ForestMoonMaiden it's so weird when I read a comment and then get distracted enough that I forget to reply 😭 (oops) It's definitely a unique deck. I've used it a couple of times and to be honest it's going to take some getting used to and time to learn the cards (images) but I'm up for it! Strange Antlers feels very spring & summer to me but I can see it falling into fall (ha!) as well so it'll be on my shelf for a while. I really enjoy reading with it! 💕

Hello! 😊 I love the Under the Oak Tarot. It's the deck that I've been using since I received it. Initially I felt it was a deck that wanted to stand alone, however, after doing my recent #decksicantpickup VR, I felt a calling to pair Brian Frouds Fairey Oracle with it and holy moly! I love it! 😍

The Runic Tarot looks like the TV series Vikings that the history channel did. Some of the cards even look almost exactly like some of the characters in the show.

RE: Cursed Auguries...I saw someone on Facebook trying to sell the Anna K for over $300 CAD claiming it was OOP and so hard to find. I literally saw it at my local witchy shop for $38 today, and I bought my copy from them too. Please be aware of people selling supposedly OOP decks online.

Lol, I think one of the interesting things that comes from this exercise, is we mindlessly let our real feelings come out. I am ranking your decks how I would have if they were mine. (I only have Tyldwick, OAT, and Paulina 1,2,3) Cursed Auguries 4 (hopefully I can trade for eventually), Oceanum 5, Feild Guide to Garden Dragons 6, so adorable, Tarot of Echoes 7 (my least favorite Ana deck), Unknown Shadows, Remembering the Sweet Fool, and Runic.. I always thought it looked computer gamey. 😊
@@tamipie soooo true, we do. Interesting that Tarot of Echoes is your least favorite. Do you have a specific reason or just in general? I think I like it more than Tarot of the Abyss only because it's color and I prefer color. And tbh I do like it more than Oracle of Echoes. I wanted OoE so bad and when I got it, the faces kind of bothered me in that one as well. I know it's a me thing and definitely not a reflection of her art & talent but ... Why are they so weird?! 😂
@sincerelyshannadee I think I like the illustrations in Abyss, I really understood everything in Bonestone, and Arthurian is my jam. I am hoping to get a Bonestone in mm because I let my indie go (the money was just too good), and the Arthurian should be coming in English eventually... the weird perspectives in Tarot of Echoes put me off. I wouldn't kick it out of bed tho, love Ana's way with color.
