This is a fun idea! I loved that movie, so thanks for the tip that it was free on yt. I keep a movies playlist and just save them in there, because they go in and out on being available, so it's a nice one to put in there. I like your lottery idea. You have some beautiful decks. This sounds like a fun experiment - good luck with it! I love the Heavenly Bodies deck (I didn't know that about the creator and the shabby chic movement, very cool). My deck also has a serious bow. This is one of the decks I'm going to be featuring in an upcoming astrology-related video I'm planning on. I actually just uploaded a video where I share some brief thoughts about astrology as I talk about how I use one of my astrology decks. I have also had the Star Codes Astro Deck for a long while but find I don't use it much despite how pretty I think it is. Though I do keep two of its cards (my sun and moon signs) fairly permanently on my altar table. The Marea Tarot is so beautiful! I came across it some time ago and very much wanted to purchase it but its out of my budget, between the price of the deck and shipping. If you do ever decide to rehome it please do let me know! I would definitely participate 😊 I do appreciate your honesty about the Mary deck; both decks from that creator are very hyped and well loved in the community; but sometimes something just doesnt resonate and thats okay! It can be hard to admit that to a crowd that reveres certain decks. Someday I will be jumping into astrology and tarot studies, and the heavenly bodies is my top choice for sure. For Scarab + Dahlia, I U also watched Lisa's review. I think she mentioned how she wished there were more scarabs throughout the deck since it was in the title, and that kind of put the purchase brakes on for me. Idk why but i was expecting scarabs to be a focal point and something to lean on in its perspective and it didnt seem to be that way, which deinfluenced me. I'm so happy to see you gush about the White Numen. Although its MM, I havent seen anyone feature it a lot since its initial release. Its underrated for sure. I hope youre able to further connect with it; its been such a great reader for me.

I also bought the PNW Tarot because I live in Washington. So pretty and was nice to support a local creator 💕

The Mary decks are on my someday list. I would be willing to enter a raffle for one of them.😊

I like the idea of the lottery and hope it works out. I think we all probably have decks we could lottery or exchange even. I have several decks that are chilling for further study but I wanted the version available at the time. Im with you on wanting to expand out into Thoth land but like Pixie - I respect her artwork and contribution to both art and the tarot - its not my “style” - I am not really drawn to LFH artwork either (unpopular opinion) but I love Marea! I received my copy recently and it has really sparked my excitement to explore more. Great video as always.

Definitely the photography of the Mysteries of Mary and Black Madonna is not great, the creator has admitted as much. The Red Madonna is supposed to be of better image quality. I'm glad I waited for the Red Madonna. I have the first edition of Brady. I also had the second edition but I did not like the size or the black borders. I did back the third edition and I look forward to the changed card stock. Scarab and Dahlia is the collage deck I've been waiting for. I don't have Ritual, Telezma, Voyager or any of the other "cool" collage decks. I like the images of White Numen, but I just really dislike everything about Liminal 11 productions. Cursed Auguries is such a good spell deck, but if you don't use tarot that way I totally understand letting it go. I've decided I don't need to "know" Thoth to read Thoth decks. I don't do astrology or Kabbalah so I just read the cards how they speak to me.

At the start of you flipping through Under the Oak I'm thinking, "yeah, just because it's beautiful doesn't mean I have to have it," and by the end of the flip through I'm in love! 😍 😂 That Strength card is special. If this came in a pocket-sized I would definitely carry this into the woods on a solo backpacking trip.... Great video!

The Northwest Animal deck you could use as an altar deck. Put a card up for each week or month. And if nothing else just enjoy the art.

I adore The Guardian Angel deck so much. That Outlaw deck is cool! I wish she would do a version without people! I lived in the southwest most of my life and find myself drawn to that theme. The Desert Illuminations deck is my vibe. It captures the duality of that area so well and has a cheeky sense of humor.

So, I’ve found affirmation decks to be a good place to start with shadow work. If the affirmation makes me feel anything but like I’m being hugged, I do a 6 card spread for who/what/where/when/why/how I feel that way. I do a weird mix of using a pip deck, RWS, archetype deck, and a pendulum to short it out.

Carl Jung described shadow work as making the unconscious, conscious. People do shadow work on all manner of things, not necessarily just for repressed trauma, in all kinds of ways. I find my #ExploringTheMagdalene practice is, at its core, a form of shadow work. I also feel super uncomfortable in fancy schmancy clothes. I want the spider deck! I made a verbal agreement with my house spiders one day and it’s like my fear just died. Very fun and cozy tag!

I totally understand that Honky Tonk Man card... I grew up in all that too. This is an awesome tag. I'm in. Tarot and Oracle have a ton of different ways that bring us comfort. Also I adore Little Bird. I am so happy you gave her life! 😊🕊

I had the death Doula oracle sitting on my shelf for 6 months without touching it. Then I saw a video sharing how this deck was made and the different “suits“ and their meanings. It was so good that I started using the deck finally. And I am loving it! The everyday witch was the very first tarot deck I bought when I first started learning tarot. So for me, that would be my deck for prompt #2 & even prompt #8. Thanks for sharing this video!

Happy Birthday! I got that cat deck and I love it!! I love Llwellyn size cards for shuffling and I love the new packaging. It’s my 3rd cat deck but by far my favorite. I have MJ Cullainane’s deck and I love the work she did on it but it’s Hay House and the cards are huge!! Oracle sized. They are also very slippery. I usually drop the whole deck and it slips, slides and cascades on to the floor. I have Cat Tarot and it’s super cute but not RWS so it’s a little harder for me and the cards are marked differently. The guide book is great though. The pictures might not be RWS but the meaning for the card is. Anyway, Forrest Felines is adorable, easy to shuffle, easy to read. This will be my last cat deck. ☺️. It’s the perfect one. Enjoy your new decks!

This is such an enjoyable video and I love your snark! I may have ordered the Tarot of Forbidden Dreams bc OMStars 🤗🤭🤗 We had a similar reaction to the Judgement card in Pastoral Tarot. It wasnt triggering per se but just felt out of place 🤔 yet Ive observed many a baptism like that shown. (yet another shadow to work w/ 🫠). I ldo like flipping through the deck as it feels like home to me. I grew up in upstate NY and the scenes and feel of the deck is very nastolgic. ❤

I think I’ll have to start the hunt for The Shadowlands Tarot (Love it!!) & The Paulina Tarot (so beautiful!). Your grandma sounds very much like my Grammy & the same tarot deck may work for her too.
