I’m a cashier, and it honestly angers me when older people come through my line saying this. When I’m closing my register when I have to leave at night because I have school the next day, but they’re begging me to re-open my register because they’re too lazy to go to the U-scan it makes me so annoyed. Like I understand if there are registers open then it’s convenient, but it’s almost 10 at night and we’re closing soon. Not to mention, we still have the cashier area fully staffed and the U-scan actually gives more people jobs because we hire people in specific to know how to work that technology and aid customers at it. And as for the work aspect.. I’m sorry that people find scanning the items that you picked up hard work.
