I think Tropico does a better job at logistics with the teamsters. In Anno 1800, it feels like the game wants you to always build everything people need in close proximity. It restricts the freedom a bit, and encourages "meta gaming" where there is an optimal way to play.

Good video even for seasoned players. Couple of thoughts on choice of lifestyle: War Profiteer under Stewardship has saved my butt more times than I can count, especially useful when u get wars declared on you as it can mean the difference between going into debt or staying juuust above negative income when your armies are raised. Stewardship is my "when in doubt" choice, always. Diplomacy is absolutely essential when running a large empire, as Thoughtful perk means you can pay off powerful vassals to stop them immediately starting independence factions when your heir takes over, Diplomacy far less useful if you're playing tall. Never thought of getting into cages right away! If you want to cosplay dumb characters, My strategy is: - drop extra weight and slowing boots - run in the opposite directions, trying to devide the cannibal group. Second recruit will be a little bit faster, so you may give sandals to the slower one, if you have one - use natural obstacles to slow cannibals down (like cages here) - (extra) make your characters smallest possible in the editor so they are harder to hit - later shinobi plastic surgeon will help to undo it The persuit ends when cannibals are distracted by beakthings or goats. Or when your mates in water, so cannibals stop chasing you. Cannibal Lands is a great place to train Stealth, Assasination and Thivery. So overall its a great starting scenario

Everytime i survive cannibal hunters start (which is my only start i really use) i simply jump into the cages right away, never drop any of my items, and escape. It's super easy this way. Everytime i watch someones video of cannibal hunter start on YT, they drop items. It's funny.

I always keep my plantations with maximum size, multiculture, subsidize and efficiency gets to well over 130%. I thought the higher the efficiency the more yeild does it not stack after 100%? I liked your setup but just curious if it hurts yeilds?

tropical swamp is one of my favorite playthroughs. i do naked brutality randy random losing is fun, i always start with a super-immune trait colonist but i dont try to roll god-tier stats. intelligence, plants and construction are basically all i really need to get started. at start of the map, i choose where i build my base based on skills of pawn- if mining dominant, ill hollow out an area where theres a good mountain, and these become useable tiles later that u dont have to moisture pump (this is your best friend mid game) or ill build around existing ruins and create a small shack and prio farming. curb devilstrand fairly early too

I'd recommend you not do playthroughs in shorts like this. All your doing is having the primary method of viewing your series be through a broken up, short-form video series, where people scrolling through shorts are not at all guaranteed to see the individual parts consecutively, or even in order. And giving an awkward viewing experience with a weirdly edited, short video for someone who might want to see the full thing. I'd recommend making full videos first, and maybe making a short or two to show off a couple highlights of the video, or talking about the premise, to draw in viewers from shorts onto the full video.

You should probably focus on getting a supply of food, water, and securing your home. For food- You can either try and head back to town- though you've gotten out of there for a reason, so alternatively, try scavenging around your home. Even a few insects would be better than nothing. For water- See if you can't find any containers to set out in the rain. A storm is coming, so getting water won't be a problem so long as you have something to collect it in. And for security- Since you don't have a hammer, I'd suggest using furniture to create an improvised barricade. Set one up at your bedroom door, moving it in place whenever you go to sleep, which should minimize the chance of waking up with something gnawing at your toes. Maybe move the wardrobe in the livingroom to one of the windows, the fridge can block something else. Anything to stall the undead to give you time to plan and prepare yourself if and when a horde shows up at your door. If you find a spare satchel, maybe put some non-perishables and clean drinking water you might find in it, and keep it in your bedroom, so you can grab it and go when something goes down, giving you a bit to live off of if you have to leave, fast, for any reason.

You need something in your hands to knock the shards out of the frame, or pick them up out of the frame, with (don't want to do it barehanded) but just right click on the window, and press "remove glass"

I don't look at my like to dislike ratio, because it's always too depressing. But if there's anything you'd like to see in this series, feel free to offer feedback. I'm thinking about ways to make it actually maybe a tiny bit more useful in the future. We'll see. I may have to play a game that I know better.

Listen, I'm just trying something here that works within the constraints of my life. Still trying to figure out the "voice" for this series, so bear with me. I hope somebody either enjoys the journey of Jordan Bautista or learns something from my failures or successes along the way. I realize nobody has ever cared about this sort of content when I do it!

As a Seasoned Veteran of strategy and all things related too it... I have never once suffered economic spirals as much as I do in this game. It certainly works a whole lot differently than what I am used to, and I struggle a ton with getting things right, or finding ways to get more money, or at least prevent myself from going down the rabbit hole of massive debt. I try to generally learn things on my own, and its worked for the most part, however with this game there are just some things about its economy system I do not understand, mostly just due to how many exponential factors all converge onto it.

Твои фермы с коровами не охватывают здания ферм, тем самым ты теряешь эффективность от этого. Лучше строить : плантация+ферма+плантация. Так будут фермы влияеть на 3 плантации,повышая производительность, и здания ферм друг друга буду еще поддерживать(как у тебя слева 4 шт стоят)

Me again. Looks like this is your last video! Oh well, don't be discouraged, I enjoyed your work. Just need to see how to beat the next section from someone else. What I learned from Control is, if I can't beat them, I am doing something wrong, and I need to figure out what that is.

Necro. Why wouldn't you place the camps on the other side of a road leaving 2 squares free all around the wonder? Even in the colonial era, you can easily have a residential hub just off the main industry construction (4-6 stacked bunkhouses on max budget, with chapel, circus, grocer, tavern and paper all in a tight clump)

I have a question. First thank you for this video. Can you mix assigning a grow spot to growing trees with the honey crop option (bee trees)? But if you do this also do they not mix? Like if you assign some trees for bees and honey then does that mean you can't harvest wood in the same grow zone? It would be interesting if these 2 ideas of harvesting wood and crop honey can work together, but not sure if they thought that out.
