Flashback 2007
Just for my own amusement, a pictorial reflection on my year with friends and family in London, Ontario, 2007. Sad to say, some people and places are no longer with us.

A song about the importance of a lasting friendship.

A love story, sort of. It's about the cosmic connections we all have and are powerless to deny or change.

St. James Infirmary

What can I say? My take on White Irish guy Blues. I've always loved this song. Even though the content is so sad, the spirit seemed so positive.
Liverpool Lullaby [The Mucky Kid]
Переглядів 1444 роки тому
Written by Stan Kelly and recorded in 1965 by Cilla Black, this lullaby/lament focuses on the hard life of one working class Liverpool family as presented in song by a mother to her infant child.

This is my own rendition of the amazing Darrell Scott tune. The first time I heard him sing it I nearly cried. If you are one of those rare individuals who don't already know about Darrell, you should check him out. He is a tremendous talent.
Wish I Still Had Those Photographs Today

This song tells the story of a man nearing the end of his days who longs for clearer memories of his lost love. He remembers the feeling, he just wants to see her face again.
The L&N Don't Stop Here Anymore - Cover

This classic song penned by folk icon Jean Ritchie has always been one of my favorites. It has been recorded by many people and I humbly offer my own rendition.
The Galway Shawl
Переглядів 1054 роки тому
Another favourite Irish love song. This one is about a travelling troubadour who finds the girl of his dreams. Her natural beauty highlighted only by the lovely, handmade Galway Shawl she wears.
Mini Kid show
Переглядів 174 роки тому
During my self-isolation, I was thinking about all of those poor kids who were stuck indoors so I thought I could give then a few minutes of entertainment at the very least. I start off with the timely health warning song "Don't Put Your Finger In Your Nose" and then do a folky rendition of "Froggy Went A Courting".
Some Day Are Diamonds - Cover
Переглядів 164 роки тому
Written by John Denver, this is such a poignant love song and life song that it's hard to not get emotional when singing it.
Maybe Baby Lied

I wrote this after rewatching the comedy action film Mr & Mrs. Smith. It's a love song for the rough and ready.
