The AmigaOS had the "assign" command for this... that just popped into my mind when I saw this. ^^

So this was posted 7 years ago asking for help and I found the issue out a long time ago but forgot about this video asking for help. Turns out that Logitech headsets use something called Virtual Audio Space. This means that in order to utilize the 7.1 surround sound, it creates a 3D virtual room, your head being the center of that room, then the locations of the 7 speakers + bass are placed into the 3D environment. Then the sound is "Simulated" in game because the headset does not actually contain 7 speakers + 2 for bass as that is too much to fit into one headset. This was the reason for the audio problems while recording games due to the recording software not able to understand the simulated sound structure and made it like it was distant. Its a terrible feature and I do not recommend anything Logitech Headsets that use it. If you had a Logitech headset and have the G-Hub installed, click on your headset in the software then click on "Surround Sound". This brings you to the settings for each separate speaker where you can change the volume level of each speaker. This is the equivalent of moving the speaker closer to the center or further away from the center.

thanks this helped a lot my c drive was full and my d drive was pretty much empty but all my saves kept going to my c drive that was full and nothing could load or save untill this video so thanks a lot i would also like to note that you had to put quotation marks on the sides of the file directory and the targets but i get why you didint say this because it was outdated and cmd had updates seince but apart from that minor detail thanks

Is there a reason why i can't find/make saves when i play offline?

My problem was the wrong audio device was selected. Try modifying the audio output at the audio symbol. The output must be what you have connected.

Just a quick note: As of this posting I had to put quotation marks on the source folder and the destination folder: /D "C:\Users\Will Murjen\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers" "I:\SpaceEngineers" to get the symbolic link to work. I assume something was done in windows updates that didn't allow me to step by step everything your video instructed. Other than that everything was spot on, thank you so very much!

Thank You very very very much for this video. I was playing with my friends on my server and after 2 hours start lagging and crashing. And after I realized it is bcs my C: drive doesn't have much space so this saves my day of reinstalling the C: Drive Thank :D

Hey, Spikey, just wanted to drop by and say that playing your run maps throughout my childhood and early adolescence has been quite a fantastic source of entertainment and pure joy, so thank you for your hard work! I still play run maps from time to time with one of my friends, and we'd often have a blast just replaying run challenge 1 and 2, as we both consider them the epitome of what running maps should be: fun, inventive, challenging and having endless replayability value. It's amazing that the RF community is still active after all these years, and that maps are still being released. Run Challenge 3 seems really exciting, are you planning to release it at some point in the future? Cheers!

I just tried this and now Space Engineers won't launch

So i linked the files open SE and it seemed to load a little faster, but i do run SE on the same SSD so i wasn't expecting a big gain, then i hit F10 and :-( wish i found this video years ago, never seen Blueprints load so fast :D Thanks for the guide!

I hope this works :D i got 2 high speed ssds and a 8 year old 1tb hdd, im hoping this will fix my lag spikes when stuff loads in :D

Thank You very much for the help! I was having trouble cause I was running low on space on my main drive and told the game to go to my D: drive but it still saved to C:. This fixed that problem!

I like this, if you can't do it through the game, then you use your brain to get it done a different way. Not bad.

How can I adjust camera (zoom-out)? When I'm piloting Regalia camera is too close to the vehicle. Please answear, it makes really hard to fly :(

This pseudo car plane is useless af & suck ass. I thought it would be like the magitek ship that you just could air travel anywhere & drop down instantly into the field. Instead we got invisible walls in the sky for an "open world" game & 90% chance of crashing/insta-death. I don't think there's even an improvement on the speed. I hope mods will improve this shenanigans.
