When bird was on the court he just had this swag about him. Everyone knew he was the best player on the court no matter who he was playing against and you couldn't take you eye's off him. You didn't do that with anyone else, even MJ. He almost had an aura around him. He could, and did, do it all. The best all around player I have ever seen. It was a privilege growing up watching him play. There is no debate for me, I'll take bird over anyone . You can think of it this way, you're at the end of a game and you need a bucket to win. You can only choose one player in NBA history to take the shot. You're options are really few and far between. There are only really two player's you want to have the ball in their hand in that scenario and only two who were born for it. MJ and Bird. the difference between the two, MJ, he would get the ball, take the shot and win the game more times then not, Bird would get the ball, take the shot and win the game, but before he did, he would tell the guy guarding him, what exactly he was going to do just to make it hard mode. Legend was a killer.

I agree Bird is far superior to LeBron and there’s videos out that support it. LeBrons only better in the longevity, total points and physicality. Bird had better averages across the board, points, rebounds, assists, minutes played and I’m sure there’s others.

Magic & Larry, resurrected the game of basketball......My dad loved basketball, but stopped watching, until the competition between Johnson & Bird was highlighted......What my Dad used to say, about Larry's game, is that it reminded him of someone, who was not only playing basketball, but also, volleyball, dodgeball, hockey, baseball, football, soccer, & strategic chess, all at the same time, and was what made him so great 😊He certainly was one of the most unique and gifted players, I have ever watched!
