1990 was the first Eurovision I watched fully, and I’m glad I started off with it

My favorites that year were Slovakia, Romania, Malta, Israel, France, Belgium, Croatia, The Netherlands, Sweden, and The UK.

Even though I didn't get into Eurovision until 2015, I live in the US, so it's not known much over here. I love this edition especially because it was the year I was born. I definitely love the older editions because I love hearing the live orchestra and the different languages being used rather than so much English nowadays.

Why are some of the song muted? Is there a reason for this at all?

Mumiy Troll with Lady Alpine Blue, was sung like that for some odd reason. The guy sings properly apart from on this song. Just thought I would let you know!

It's amazing to think that Yugoslavia and later its former constituent lands have sent so many superb songs to Eurovision - and yet this year's very moderate entry is so far (I think) their only winner!

My Ai, for me, is the most overrated song of the season!! I just find the song really annoying and don't understand why people like the song so much lol

It took me half a year to watch this one of your videos as I was not sure I can deal with bad esc entries in such a high number 😁. I survived and FYI, I love Siren (Estonia 2010) and rather like several others. Mama šč and euro neuro are classics. But yes most were not very pleasant to me either. GIPSY, CZ was an attempt by Czech TV to do their DEI work (ahead of time, see?). The band had 1 successful tune in CR, so I guess they were hoping that exposed to the less racist audience they would win ESC :-D It took Czech TV more than a decade to figure out that they should ask international fans what songs to send into ESC as the Czech taste differs a lot from others obviously. But there I really hated Only teardrops and Denmark won with that terror to my ears :-D See, the bad Czech taste 😀
