On Saturday 2nd November 2019, the 'tum,bling bay' weir on the River Wey, just above Millmead Lock collapsed, taking with it the footbridge carrying the towpath over the top. This is the result - what was a navigable section of river, now devoid of water, with the exception of a fast flowing torrent pouring through the gap left by the collapse.
