Our family lives nearby to largest Sikh Gurdwara in New York City 🏙️. No immigration police raid had happened on any gurdwara or mandir,masjid or church yet anywhere USA. But it will happen in future surely on any school or place of worship. Gurdwaras welcome all humans irrespective of religion, caste,or color to get possible temporary shelter and food,so great number new arrivals visit gurdwaras for possible help including non Sikhs Indian from Haryana and other states. Clubs and trains were raided by immigration police in Chicago and Texas on Sunday which you have not reported.

I don’t understand the issue here. If an administration can prove that someone is living illegally in the U.S., they should absolutely have the right to remove them from the country. Wouldn’t you want the same thing in India? Why are you saying that Modi has backed down on this? It’s ethically wrong to enter a country without a visa, overstay it, or use fraudulent documents to stay in the country. I’m from Uttarakhand, and in the hills, I see many Bangladeshis living here.
