10:57 DUUUUUDE im so glad to finally find someone else saying this!! im a big fan of the eighties cartoon but one of the most surreal things about it is the fact that every pony has the exact same hair, thats actually a big part of why Wind Whistler is my favorite character from that generation. When i started taking a dive into g3 media recentyl and realized the same issue was present there i was FLABBERGASTED. the fact it took them *three decades* to figure out that hair styling the hair stylable toys was a good ideas is absurd. yeah. after i saw the trailer, I thought it was using footage of the Movie after it was finished before it came out on DVD and VHS in October of 2005. (yes, This Movie came out in October instead of December 2005) i now realized that this Trailer of this Movie is not using Footage from the Final Protect before it came out, it was just using Footage from the Almost Finish version of Movie before it was Properly Finished. I guess Hasbro and Paramount Home Entertainment made this Trailer before the Movie was Properly Finished. I would love to see a Trailer vs Movie Comparison Videos on The Princess Promenade and The Runway Rainbow someday.

I remember when i was watching the runnaway rainbow i kept getting frustrated at rarity and i think it might have been because i was expecting her to be punished or reprimanded for her shenanigans, i think i need to do some self reflection

I kind of remembered this video and came to watch it again cause it felt eerie, not it has this sort of sadness to it because it makes it sound like they made a joke that made her upset and after she ran away and they chased after her they all got lost in the woods :(

I feel like one of the other reasons remake Tom jumped to the idea of marriage so quickly is because he believed savannah was more conservative (from the scene where she was jealous of brooke and briac staying together). Shortly after he overheard Savy and Jenny’s conversation where she (out of denial) repeated that she loves Tom. So probably to him, he thought that Savannah was reluctant to be more intimate/vulnerable is bc of her “conservative nature”, and believing that marriage would help that.

I used to have this dvd as a kid. I found it at Target while shopping with my mom. I was super happy when she let me get it. My friend (she's my stepsister now) and I would watch together in the car and at home. And we would pretend to be ponies and perform all the songs in the show. Good old nostalgia. 🌈🦄🐎🥰

I was big into G3 right before the franchise transitioned from the earlier world of the specials [shout out to Princess Promenade and Minty Christmas especially] to Core 7, and when I was younger, I began to notice how all the minifigures were slowly phasing out of toy store shelves (I could kick myself for getting rid of all my playsets now, but still have a sizeable box full of so many of the early g3 minifigs) but never really put 2 and 2 together until I got older. I think Twinkle Wish was the nail in the coffin, not just for me personally, but for the entire world of G3. I still hold G3 very dear to my heart, but I wouldn't get back into MLP until the hard reboot of FiM. You hit the nail on the head through and through, though, Core 7 feels like it was trying to retcon so much of what was established earlier on in the direct to movie specials, and it sanitized everything that made G3 fun, whimsical and exciting for a kid in the early 2000s. Honestly, I have my suspicions that FiM's Mane 6 (or, 8 at this point, Starlight and Sunset aside) was made to correct Core 7's mistakes and to re-establish a world like G1, G2 (somewhat) and G3 did pre-Core 7. This was a fantastic video, I loved how concise you were. [Also, Minty, Wisteria and Kimono should've been in Core 7, my mind cannot be changed]
