I believe that there was a quilter that lived in the town up until 2010, more or less. I think she lived in the yellow house.

The sad thing about these abandoned homes is that they often represent someone's broken dreams. If only those walls could talk and share about the people who lived there. Sometimes I wonder if its inhabitants are still alive, living somewhere near or far, and if they are aware of what became of their home.

Stopped there many times while it was open. Really sad to see that one of my favorite places to take a break had closed, and I had to press on. Always looked forward to the rest stop, and a pecan roll for the road.

I hope the people wanted to leave and were not forced. I imagine somebody lived a happy life there.

I like exploring abandoned places. Always makes me wonder what they looked like when they were still being used; and the people that used to use them.

The track was abandoned in 1970 and then removed in 1982

Why are people so hateful?😟 That house could have stood there till it turned to dust. Wasn't bothering no one. Just like vandalizing place with stupid spray paint and smashing windows, why??? Makes no sense.

I live in NE Colorado, and have been by this old school house a few times. The outer edges of Colorado are full of places like this. Our population may be bigger, but agriculture doesn't take as many people as it did back then, and these places are drying up and blowing away in my lifetime. Sad really, and I tried to live in the big city, but that just isn't me.

I lived in Sedgwick as a kid in the 60s & 70s. Spent a LOT of time there with my Mom. For a while they had mannequins in old west clothes sitting in the booths. Some cowboys. Some Indians. There was a cheerleader and a football player too. Maybe 15 of them. Looks kinda different now. Too bad.

Always amazes me that people drive around with buckets of paint in their car, so they can draw on a building in some inconspicuous place that almost no one will ever see.

Really odd that no one ever thought to auction off all those fixtures. You can rebuild the refrigeration units. All that stuff has some kind of value to it.

Too bad they didn't have some Taco Bell Hot Sauce packets from back in the day. The new flavor of the Taco Bell Hot Sauce is terrible. It hasn't been the same since about 2011.

I live in the Evans area and I've spent a lot of time cruising these back roads and small towns. I never get bored of it, there's so much history here.

I remember being in the post office in about 1970 or so. My dad talked to Mr. Stanley for quite a bit.

How sad it burned down. It was a very sweet house. Lots of memories there I'll bet.

Use to go through here on way to see family in New Raymer. That was so long ago. It's sad to see she's empty little town now.
