Helpful advice. Thank you!
The background Music is extremelly annoying
Labels are for canned goods... Horses are not "lazy," or "mean" or "stupid" or any other excuse that can be used for poor training methods...
Thank you! This is exactly what I needed for my easily bored and sometimes lazy (but sweet) old thoroughbred boy ❤
Thanku ☺️
Loved the video the music drove me insane
Hilarious that this horse us “lazy.” Mine is about half this speed at the walk and terrible at the halt.
hi zoe
If there's one positive that comes from it, they do make you look really tall 🤤😅🙄😌👏🏻
Awwww ok so maybe a rough pair of boots... But you still look amazing in them! 😮😅🤗👢
this was a great video! I've been working with this pony for months and he just won't move, i've tried pretty much everything, had trainers out and even a vet and saddle fitter. His owners won't give us his papers or any information on is age and background which is strange.. Im definitely gonna attempt this warmup with him today.
The horse is not lazy. Stop blaming the horse. It is not the horse. It is the person.
No he’s not lazy because I’ve specifically developed a warm up for him to get the best work possible from him.
@@kedronequestrian7208 You called him a lazy horse. It is not the horse that is the problem. It is the person handling the horse. Stop labeling the horse.
@@gerrycoleman7290What evidence do you have to support that? You repeated yourself, but nothing to validate your statement.
@@renyahaynes6021 Best evidence of all.............the horse.
Is his hind leg ok?
Not sure what you’re referring too?
nice👍🏼
I feel the same about your first 3, but not your 4th. I admit they're an...acquired taste 😂 However, having grown up with them, I love how loyal and full of personality they are. They're similar to the STB - I've spent my boy's entire life trying to get the 3 beat canter in the ring. I get it at home but the second he has tension, he goes back to 4 beat. He's made a fantastic low-level eventer though because he is definitely down for a good old hoon 😂. They're definitely not a typical dressage/SJ type though so I understand where you're coming from.
I've just discovered your channel. You're amazing! You explain things so well. 👍🥰
Thank you 😊
Totally agree! Quality than quantity is way better.
They are the same breeds I would avoid. I just find they are specific to their job and are great for that but not for much else.
hi nice video
Yay you did one of my requested videos. I really wanted to see this one!!!!!
Ouch!!!🤕. Sorry that happened!
I’ve always had horses that are super eager to work. Now I’ve gotten my first Warmblood and getting him going is exasperating. I’ve taken the attitude of “Either you buck me off or I’ll get you to,give me everything you got”. He’s already given me 2 huge bucks but I treat it like I was riding a rodeo bull. So far I am winning but I won’t say I’m victorious just yet. I’m might end up up there in the arena lighting. I’d I do p,ease being a ladder so I can get back down.
Great Video! Those tips were great 👍
What was your score?
The judge at C gave us 61.785% and the judge at H 59.642%. Unfortunately all my comments are in Japanese so I can’t read them 😞
I enjoyed this! I love watching you ride! You should do a prep for a show video.
So glad you enjoyed it 😊 I’ll definitely do a show prep video one day!
I was really surprised to see Quarter Horses on your list..I am a TB girl also, but I haven't met a nasty QH..Thanks for sharing your points on view though! There is a breed for everyone i guess!!
I have definitely met a couple of QHs that I got along with but there’s nothing about them that would make me want to ride them every day as my own horse. Just my personal preference ☺️
Wish is really hit or miss
Hahah I laughed when you opened them hahahaha! The music was a tad to loud
Ooh! Good luck they are tough.
Loved this video. Thanks for the inspiration! First rule : rhythm! I love how you make a point of focusing on rhythm and relaxation in your warmup. The No pressure -mentality is great for the rider, too! Subscribed!
I’m so glad you enjoyed! ☺️
This was a fantastic video! Loved the intro, and the advice was great. Just subbed 😊💜
Thank you! I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the video ☺️
Nothing wrong with draw reins as long as you know how to use them. They are a great price of equipment in the correct hands. I use them on all of my eventers while hacking and schooling ect. Offer safety and support if you are riding a fresh horse.
And a lot of people out in the world would agree with you. I personally just find that I don’t need them and also find them to be very detrimental to my riding if I’m forced to use them. Everyone has their own opinion though!
Love this 👏👏👏 could not agree, they're complete crutch, and people try to skip steps when in reality they create more steps from the issues they cause
They cause so many problems!!

thanks for making this, most videos have an already trained dressage horse in a double bridle, it’s nice to see you teach us with a tb like mine in a snaffle
The zippers are on the inside.. big check before purchasing “riding boots” . Real riding boots would never have a zipper on the inside.. it will scratch your saddle. Fashion “riding boots “ usually do :)
i know what you mean, it is a bit risky to purchase things from wish because the quality isn't always what it should be
I loan a pony that I am getting back into shape after a long time off. For the summer we are aiming to jump but she won’t even keep trotting for 10 seconds without being kicked and kicked. Any tips on improving this? Xx
These boots are awful
this def helps I do ride a 13.hh pony n she is mare and can be moody most of time n will kick out
The musik is to high
Kedron Equestrian I have a horse that I just got from my grandparents and the only time I have ridden him, is without a saddle. He is a little stubborn but I feel as if I can get him used to riding again he would be an amazing trail horse. I was just wondering how I could ease him back into riding with a saddle and where I should start.
So Basically: start walking, then trotting, then cantering. Who would have thought.
Gerardo Salas 😂 I guess in a nutshell yes! Although it’s what you do within those paces that will get your horse ready for their workout and ensure you get the best work from them!!
I’m helping get a pony in shape again and he has NO extension AT ALL! Suggestions for helping him extend instead of trying to move to the next gait?
I bought a glove that sprays water because my friends horse is very very skittish and the gloves were amazing
Akira Andriola I’m glad your purchase was what you were after! It’s definitely a bit hit and miss when it comes to Wish!
Kedron Equestrian 😁
that headset😍😍HOW?!
Bella Aradyn aww thanks 🙏 it’s all about pushing them up into the contract from your legs and not pulling their heads back to their bodies ☺️
This was so helpful. I am leasing a 5 year old lazy/non responsive horse and I think i am not doing enough to warm her up after watching this. She also fights contact with the reign like crazy!
Melissa Carey I’m so glad you were able to find this video helpful! Good luck with your new horse 😄
Here is a great video m.ua-cam.com/video/oqkeDHDXGaA/v-deo.html
Perhaps you should have her checked over by an equine osteopath, and have the saddle checked? It's a good idea to ask youself WHY is my horse behaving like this? What is he trying to tell me? I'm not trying to be a smartass, I just want people to listen when the horse speaks.
@@lisahansson2605 I agree
That is so exciting!!!! I hope you’ll have a fantastic time 💪
Denise Collet thank you 😆😆
I loved this video! I love that you left in all the hiccups and were so realistic about training. I would love to see what kind of pole work or different exercises you do for your jumpers!
