I was just thinking 2 pages back that I wondered when Farrah was gonna catch up to the 2 and intervene. That's good storytelling when a character makes an appearance just when the reader starts looking for him/her. Great job! You put SOOOO much thought into panel layouts and body positions within the panels (leading from one panel to the next and from the right side of one row to the left side of the next). I hope to see you in Memphis at the Comic-Con this Saturday!
Subscribed. Thanks for doing this. I am a beginner and this will be a HUGE help!
I Can’t believe you’re Drawing full pages in front of an audience! Super inspiring! Keep going brotha!
You mentioned the lighter pencils you use for roughing in. What brand/lead weight do you use?
I use Tombo mono 4H for going light and 2H or H for going heavier to finish.
Thank you for not hiding your process 😊
Loving this comic you should get so much more views but life goes on
I haven't watched your videos in a while. And wow! You have improved so much!! Congrats man! This is really inspiring :D
❤❤❤❤❤
🎉🥳 Congrats On 100 thank you for everything. Loving the New Arc of first son and sword.
Thank you so much 😁
I am really enjoying these. Your voice is really calming as well.
Oh thank you!
Well done I did purchase your comic
Thanks for the support!
Well done bravo
Waiting for the capital hundred.❤ Love your comic drawing videos
Interesting that you're thinking of lenses and their transposition from film to comics. I recently went as far as building a sphere in Blender with wireframes for each of the x,y,z axes so I could work out the 5-point spherical perspective on objects rotated relative to the field of view. A bit esoteric but I enjoyed the mental working out the problem of how to draw fisheye or very wide angle (as well as a massive procrastination from actually getting on with my story lol.)
When you start a new page what're the dimensions of the big rectangle you first put down? Enjoying your videos as I work on my own. It's very helpful.
Full paper size is 11”x17”. The initial, big rectangle I make, where all the panels fall in, is 9”x14.25”. Happy to help!
We're already doing that , then we have to keep.
Dude, stumbled onto your UA-cam today. Beautiful work. Lots of great information about your process. Thank you for the art tips.
Paper size?
11 inch by 17 inch
@@ikecomics thanks, and fantastic page!❤️
Great work!!!!
Always look forward to your posts, Keep 'em coming, keep finding that creative place.
@@breadpirateoverhere hi there
You remind me, Bob Ross .
Haha 😎
Thank you . Keep it up
The man speaks the truth! Love the composition on the first panel.
Greetings from Chile, master!!!
Didnt know Jesus was drawing comics.
Another masterclass on perspective... horizon lines, vanishing points, etc. Great variety of close-up, medium shots, and context shots. I learn a lot from your videos, and am inspired by the choices you make and why you make them. One of the areas I find difficult concerning inking is a lack of variety. It's difficult to separate one object from another, it's difficult to vary line weights, etc. You seemed to accomplish that through more blocks of black when you were using the micron pens, and it seems more difficult now that you're using the nibs... BUT, you ARE able to do it. What are you doing consciously to separate objects from one another (aside from what happens at the coloring stage). Thanks for inspiring artists and wanna-be-artists!
I think I can highlight a few things that might help. (1) The better the drawing is, the composition, the less you have to vary line weights or do hatching lines, or even use color/values to separate objects. (2) Put more practice and attention on lighting and form than on actual inking techniques, lines and outlines. (3) Place shadows creatively, bending reality without breaking its believability. A shadow can be drawn or omitted, complete or broken, geometric or smooth, solid or hatched, etc. If it helps the clarity/composition, go for it. This goes for solid matter, too, and not just shadows.
This is such a great page!!! It is a great tutorial that teaches so many basics of drawing & perspective... and creates a great work of art!!! There is a lot of energy here!!!
@@PreacherScott there is really a lot of energy, the way he explains it,it makes me feel more relax to understand his tutorial step on his comic page drawing
This is a GREAT page! Maybe my favorite so far!!
C'est une plume magique, il l'utilise sans un seul moment le tremper dans un pot d'encre de chine.
It easy tutorial, interesting motivating and attractive
I love this bro
Keep at it! I love your work and drawing style, and your techniques about panels! Awesome!
Comparing your work with that of others is always a losing path. There will only be one BEST, and everyone else will be lesser than that. Others may have more innate talent or more time or a better headstart. But, we compare ourselves to ourselves... to who we were yesterday. We hope to improve each day.
Man I Enjoy these videos Always motivating me to sketch out more comics whenever I watch em
You knead a different type of eraser
Nice pun.
Another great page! You need to do more splashy-type pages!! As long as you continue to have a healthy view of the ups and downs, you'll work through them... and be better on the other side.
Cool layout!
Do you do your lettering digitally? Love the channel, motivational for my own comic/art
Yes I do! Might change that the next issue though. Love hand lettering in comics.
birdseye view 😀
I’m really glad I found your channel! Super inspiring and relaxing. I’ve been stressed over losing a job of 6 years and moving forward with everything online and that whole job seeking process, I am really trying to also make more time to develop a graphic novel I’ve been sporadically pursuing. I appreciate you sharing your life experiences on such an intimate level. Thank You 🙏🏼
That can be tough. Wishing you the best in finding your rhythm with a new job and new routines.
In the last panel, a shadow leads to an arch to form the figure of a man crouching. T0he three small figures in the road, with the edges of the buildings, form his arm held out, as if started by and listening to the horn.
I love your videos so much thank you
Excellent work. Your videos are a goldmine for process junkies like myself. Wishing you all the best.⭐️
