This documentary focuses on conservation of local crop breeds in the Shire Valley. The SVTP is working with the Department of Agriculture Research, Ministry of Agriculture and communities to conserve local breeds as among other things, production of hybrid breeds is dependent on the local breeds. One of the groups working on this initiative is Msekele Gene Bank in T/A Kasisi in Chikwawa.

This documentary focuses on the establishment of two livestock-focused cooperatives in Mitole and Mbewe EPAs in Chikwawa. These will assist the farmers to be organized in livestock farming including identification of markets.

It also highlights initiatives in relation to the development of the Nchalo Drainage Master Plan.

Research is being conducted to determine if thabalaba can be domesticated. Progress will be highlighted in upcoming documentaries. This is part of natural resource conservation efforts.

Community Conservation Areas have been established. Malawi designated the Elephant Marsh as a Wetland of International Importance under the Ramsar Convention on 1st July 2017.

The cofferdam now stands at 144.6 metres above sea level of the 148 metres. Completion is slated for September 2023.
