I had this record on straight repeat through highschool , some of the most face smashing riffs i ever heard in metalcore and so way ahead of its time , especially my promise the single string chugging , the cool and unique use of tight interval noise chords , the melodic passages , the punishing breakdowns , the guitarmonies. Also second to this band would be Norma Jeans Blessed/oh god the after math record .Math/abstract hardcore was such an introduction to me to finding other bands like botch, psyopus, Dillnger and alike. anyway awesome video !

Hello!! Thank you for such a fun and honest review. It’s a post COVID world and this movie really was a blast from the past. I can recall thinking that the whole “look” of this film made me drool with envy. Like the perfect house on the lake and the frosted hair and as much white and heathery grey for all of the clothes. But now, in 2023 I watch this movie and while it still holds up, and does not look too dated, I can feel my disinterest in anything “upper middle class”. One more thing, the writing did a really good job with the husband character. He was exactly the archetype of an abuser. The ending was a surprise to me. Ugh, the suggestion he made about his step- daughter… sooooo groooooss!!
