Jōvan Jefferson aka Lac Grizzly has been attracted to music since adolescence. He was born in South Carolina but raised in GA. He grew up with a strict church background which taught him not to conform to social norms. He started out wanting to rap but discovered that his true passion is in production. He started making beats at age 15, which is when he started listening with an entirely different ear. His favorite producers are Timbaland, Dr. Dre, Kanye West, Just Blaze, Apollo Brown, & Pharrell Williams. His sound has developed over the years but has deep roots in the south. Later he gained an interest in audio engineering as well. Learning from engineers & producers like Gerald “Geo” Hall , Kevin “Gr8 Trakz” Lamar, & Ray Baker, he began to finally develop a signature sound. Music has changed Lac’s life for the better.
