Special thanks to Hepcat for these amazing pickups, to Thrilltone for the Northern Lights delay that I'm such in love with, and to the creator of the YAB drive for this amazing drive! Both pedals are on full time in my pedalboard. And obviously thanks to my good friend Michel Aboudib for my amazing 7 strings acoustic guitar!

Watching this I'm not sure if these are demos or tutorials? It does not seem to have any structure. The tone is nice. A few times I ( think) I heard a few off - notes played?? And where is this great 7 string acoustic guitar you mention ?? See you soon. Happy playing till then !!
Hi! This is neither a demo nor a tutorial, this is just me working livr on my improv skills over some backing tracks. So you are right, there is no real structure, but I’m open to suggestions if you have ideas! The 7 strings acoustic guitar appears for only a few minutes towards the beginning, but I am going to include it more later.
@@guitarinsitu ok.. thanks for the reply.. look forward to some acoustic playing soon.. greetings from India :)
@user-my9kj6gq5v thank you! I shall use it more, then!
Bonjour.
Maybe older video but that's a ovation applause guitar it's a old one ,there pretty cool guitars ovation is one of my favorites Applause is ovations cheaper guitar but some of the older applause guitars are very good
greetings antoine, suggestions to get rid of the clipping? or what do you mean
Hello ! I’m sorry but I don’t understand your question… Arr you refering to something I said in this video?
putain c'est l'ancien guitariste d'orakle! Quel boss!

Sori eubaoute zate…
Œuf corse.
How bizarre - in your words you say it is not a very good guitar and does not sound good. But the sound it produced on your video was wonderful. There are a lot of people who just don’t like Ovation guitars because they’re not 100% wood. I have four ovations and the AE38 was my first.
The perception of quality is subjective anyway. But I’m glad you like it!
I bought my AE38 in either '96 or '97... it still sounds and plays great. My headstock and electronic controls are completely different than the one in the video.
I have one and it`s a very nice gadget...
Are you finding the sound can be fizzy? Mine is but I’m guessing it’s user error.
Sorry, I didn’t see your comment… what do you mean more precisely?
this is great 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks !
Played impeccably. The guitar sounds great, but it's your playing that stands out.
Thanks!
THANKS. FOR ME SOUNDED WONDERFUL...
Thanks for the info
Salut Antoine.
Big up à vous! ;)
Thank for your video! Is it possible to save the presets that are in the app in internal memory of the amp?
I think so, yes !
Cool
Sacré son !
Great demo, you made a cheap guitar sound wonderful
Thanks !
Brrrt, brrrt, brrrt ! xD
Top job again!
Top job man! Excellent demo and playing!
superbe clip bien expliqué. You've done a wonderful clip, my friend, It's well explained
Merci !
very cool review. you are the 1st one who showed it also records the video first of all I am a guitar newbie. I have 10 years old Ibanez RG370DX, and Line6 15W Amp with few built-in effects. the Line6 sounds BAD in my opinion. it's almost unusable, I have to use it on 1 sound which took me many hours to find a sweet spot, and I don;t dare changing it. I also have NUX Drum & Loop Pro, so that I can compose music pieces, and record my overdubs, my own backing tracks, my ideas etc. the guitar sound recorded by NUX is very good. however the drums sound like crap, at least to me. but luckily NUX records drums as separate track, and also outputs guitar and drums separately, so I can "replace" the drums in post editing. now I want to spend some money to improve my setup, and Spark sounds very tempting, as the digital processor ++ however I'm leaning towards the old school beefy clean amp, and then building my gears with the physical pedals as I grow to them, maybe starting with the overdrive and some echo. like most people I am not rich, so I need to decide between Spark and beefy clean amp. which would you suggest is a better decision? if it's a beefy clean amp, which amp(s) should I look at? I'm quite scared of Line6, because the one I have (15W) sounds really creepy. maybe because it is also 10 years, and never used all this time until last week. I am 50 years old, and I recognise brands like Marshall. are they still the "best"? or I should look at other brands, which are cheaper and who knows better? I like heavy sound of rock, borderline with metal, and clean loud "distinct slow" solos (not shredding). I like Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Satriani (Satch Boogie etc), TSA "Maratonczyk", Perfect - "Ale w koło jest wesoło", strong rock sound, but not insanely distorted. your buying advice will be very appreciated. I'm old yet I feel like a small kid buying new toys.
Hi ! Thanks for your comment ! I personnally use mostly one « clean » tube amp, which is a Dewitte Brut(e) Supercharged in which I plug my pedals, but I must say that in some circumstances the Spark can be a good option. I still have the one you can see in the video even though it is not mine (I don’t own one) and I use it with my students, because it is a nice and very practical little amp. I would say that for the price there is not much competition in the « real » amps relm, so if this is your budget, go for it. If however you can put a little more money in an amp, well… I’m sorry to say that but I have no recommandations to make… You could check for little Fender, Peavey, Vox or Laney, in the AC series kind of amps, but all I can push you toward is to get out and try out all the amps you can with the pedals and guitars you already have and make your own mind about them. Whatever sounds good to you should be what you should get, in my opinion. Don’t be afraid to buy used too, because it is most likely that the next amp you’ll buy will not be your last. I think that you have to own a piece of gear for a certain time before you can really know if it is for you or not, so buy whatever sounds good to you, play it for a while, keep testing all the gear you can find, sell, buy again, and try to make the best out of what you have, like you did with your Line6. By the way, the gear Line6 currently makes is a lot better than what they did 10 years ago. Sorry that I can not tell you what amp to buy, I know it would be easier, but I hope that my answer will be useful to you in a way. Have a good one !
@@guitarinsitu thank you for your in-depth reply. I will consider the Spark as my practice amp, for the convenience of ad hoc jamming, the coolness of chords generation, ease of modifying and storing various sounds thanks to the digital processor / engine. after giving it a thought, I think for this price it is well worth it. on the other hand, imagine that I worked out my favourite sound and composed my own humble song using Spark, then I am ready to play it out loud, and boom, I need to "reproduce" my favourite sound using different hardware / technology. this makes me lean towards buying a beefy clean amp right away, and skip Spark altogether. any thoughts on Mesa Boogie Mark V? someone recommended this amp to me. I'll check it out in my local music store this week, as they have stock. it is expensive, but if I use it for 10 years, it will be justified. would you look into combo amp or separate floor and top piece? sorry if I'm not using the proper industry vocabulary, because I am new to all this. starting my guitar learning journey at the age of 50. I did play some camp fire chords 10 years ago. this time I am doing it "properly", learning notes, fretboard, scales, and also improvising to backtracks in various keys. I'm truly enjoying the progression and fun related to it.
@@TigerCarpenter I think that there is a use for the kind of amps that includes the Spark, but if you'd want to make an album then it would not be adequate. However, I don't think that finding your sound in a studio with the help of a professional producer would be a problem, and you would probably not have to buy anything since most studios have a few amps to offer. That said, the Mark V is a fantastic amp, in the combo or head configuration, so if you don't need the features of the Spark and you have the budget for the Mesa, go for it. This is the kind of amp that is good for pretty much anything and that you can sell pretty easilly if you find another amp that suits your needs better. You should give it a try in the store anyway, and see if you like it !
@@guitarinsitu thanks a lot for your advice! since I'm new to all this, I listened to my gut, and I bought Mooer GE200, and now waiting for the delivery. I hope it allows me to find my desired sounds, and record my own music. I will eventually save up for the beefy amp+cab, once I am more familiar with this market. I hope I made the right call to start my journey.
@@TigerCarpenter Good for you ! I don't think that we learn by making mistakes, so don't be afraid of making some !
What strings are you using?
I think on this video it was John Pearse 12-53 plus a Daddario 70 for the low B, phosphor-bronze. Since then, I switched to full bronze strings, it suits this guitar better.
@@guitarinsitu thanks! I had previously used D’Addario EXP phosphor bronze. Tone was ok, but wished they lasted as long as Elixirs.
The John Pearse strings are not coated, so they won’t last as long as the Elixir, but you should give them a try, they sound amazing (that is my opinion anyway)
@@guitarinsitu what gauge are you using? I see that Elixir is now offering a 0.070, which is what I was using with D’Addario
@@spade2you I am using 12-53 + 70. I've been trying to order 70s from Elixir for about a year now, but they never came...
Awesome
Thank you :)
Great review.
Thanks !
Great review. I have had the amp for four months. Freaking love it. Its all about the app. Fun features.
thanks, but can you tell me when using the app should the knobs on the amp all be turned to zero?
Hi ! The knobs can be in any position you want. They will only affect the settings if you touch them, like on most (if not every) emulation based amps.
Passionnant Antoine ! Merci pour le partage ! 🎸
Jesus christ is coming repent choose him today, he loves you.
This is the best Spark review I have seen. Thank you.
Paul McCartney wing
Its a great amp but because its a bass amp also, its hard to dial out the bass without an EQ. They need to add an EQ to the effect chain. If they do this amp is unstoppable! Its a great sounding and LOUD amp otherwise!
To much bass sound from the amp for me, unusual for small speakers.
Bonjour Antoine.
thank you man! it was very beautiful!
My pleasure !
Nice walk though. Do you know if there is any way to change the effects chain order?
Thanks ! I don’t think there is one, but please let me know if you find something
Bon ok, tu m'as convaincu. J'en veux un !
J’ai rien dit, moi !
It is a beautiful instrument and what a stunning gift. Beautiful playing from Antoine. This has made my day, thank you. And very well done daughter !
Thanks! You answered a question I had about video recording. 👍🏻
Like long waits, an amp that buzzed and hummed right out the box and hurdles and difficult customer service with no one to speak with trying to get replaced? Then this is the lemon for you. Good luck!
Thank you for the video!! One doubt, I see a lot of comments about how the amp sounds a bit to bass heavy and muffled. What do you think, from your own experience listenning to it? Im on the look for a practice amp and this one been on my radar, but Im not that much inclined to bassy sounds...
I’ve only used it in my studio, and I never thought that there was too much bass. Maybe it is a matter of resonance, depending of the quality of the reverb in the room in which some people play, I don’t know, but for me, no problem. What I’ve seen the most in the comments is a hum problem caused by a power supply issue, but I didn’t have this issue either.
@@guitarinsitu thank you very much for your reply. Yes, I saw that some people have that problem with the hum, but that, from what I get as already been solved with the newest amps being shipped already with the grounded power supply.
Nice !
Yes, to much bass for my ears.
Excellent ;-)
Au top !
Can we have presets of guitarists like van halen ritchie blackmore toto etc....
Pretty sure you can search ANY artist and if anyone created their sounds, they will be there in the user cloud
