I have a 3060 mobile with max wattage running above 130watts and intel i7 11800h, when I want to run the msfs 2020 on oculus quest 2 vr , it is not at all smooth even on all low settings.. and i get so much of lag.. could you guys please let me know how to get good fps, I don't exactly know how to use open xr toolkit. The wattage on my laptop for cpu and gpu are very high end too.. Every other vr game runs perfectly fine.. it is just with this microsoft flight simulator that it lags so much. It would be great if someone can help me

I'm kinda curious on this setup as the GA mod actually places scheduled AI offline traffic into the sim. That mod should have no bearing on the PSTX and RealTraffic display of aircraft. The setup you have is using both live traffic and ai offline ga traffic. I'm pretty sure you can turn off or remove the GA Mod or at least the scheduled flights. I'll have to have a look again to see if they provide aircraft models in that mod, which would make sense as it could expose the aircraft.cfg files to the live traffic injectors.

At least I am not alone on this. I am still figuring out why or how the Master Caution light came on.

Great video, can’t wait for the rest, then I might try a helicopter again.

You can toggle the reset on lower panel to clear master caution.

Well that was bloody hard to fly & read text & the dam sim sound was off as well . I forgot to switch in the stream track for the sim so no sim sounds oh bloody hell .

It's a shame Winwing is not going to produce these anymore. As far as sim collectives go it was one of the "cheaper" quality controllers out there. I hope they have a replacement in the works.

This is a great Video Big Al showcasing The mighty Chinook and Melbourne love the fly over of the the metro trains and yarra near Crown . Well done . I thought the night in sim brought it all together well. More should record the sim at night when the scenery is as good as the Melbourne one . Great job

The NUMBER of addons you have enabled in your Community folder has no impact on anything other than LOAD TIMES. It is the TYPE/PURPOSE of the addons you have enabled in your Community folder that affects in-flight PEFORMANCE - addons such as We Love VFR scenery, landmarks, addon airports and traffic (AIG) all have a detrimental impact on FPS as they add to the work the CPU and GPU have to do for each frame. Disable all of those type of addons that you have enabled in MSFS Addons Linker as can be seen in this video and check again, as long as you haven't got anything enabled that is adding to the work required to render each frame you won't see a difference. If what you are implying were true then we would all see a drop in FPS just from all the addon liveries we have installed, and this is NOT the case. Also, you need to configure and save a flight for testing and load that flight for EVERY test you do so the flight parameters are EXACTLY the same EACH TIME, surely this is OBVIOUS. In your "comparison" flights you fly completely different flight paths and fly over different parts of scenery so you will see a difference in FPS due to what the simulator is having to draw, flying over the sea and comparing it to a flight over land populated with houses and buildings is OBVIOUSLY going to yield different results - duh. And increase your mic volume, your voice is barley audible.
