Clute Park DGC

Man....took a month off DG before taking a trip to Texas, and boy did it show on a few of my drives haha. Need to do a few field work sessions. Clute Park was pretty fun. I enjoyed the front 9 more than the back 9. Nothing particularly tough but it's a solid 18 hole course. Would not recommend trying to play in mid August though! Pretty hot out. Think I'm going back to putting music with my vid...

How many places on Earth can you throw a round and ride world class roller coasters in the same location Pretty neat that Carowinds added this to their park this year. Not a long or challenging course but it's well designed for what it is. Most holes feature some minor elevation changes & OB that keep the holes somewhat interesting. Really excited to throw this course with my kid since she love...

Not my most exciting ace but I'll take it. First with this Entropy, second with the Entropy in general. Been throwing it a bit more often since hitting this....usually go with a Proxy or Reactor for shorter range throws.....

Dinky 9 hole course in a small town south of Houston, TX. Apparently this was the course used in an attempt to break the world record for most # of holes played in 24 hours. I can believe it with how tiny it is. I'd be so bored throwing this course that many times, but I'd imagine I could get a lot of aces that way! www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=6442

Threw the gold tees. Really fun course. Didn't get to film the last few holes because my first battery died and my back-up wasn't fully charged like I thought it was.

Stopped by to film this new course on my way to Myrtle Beach. Didn't finish because it was tricky finding some of the later holes and I was running out of daylight. I'll try again next time I'm in the area. www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=13442

I was on vacation in Florida driving along the eastern coast when I saw this sign. Turned around right away to go check it out. Pretty cool course! On the easy side but the lines were fun and ending with a 650' shot surprised me.

6 hole course I threw while vacationing in Florida. Pretty neat course for a 6 hole pitch and putt. Not a ton of challenge but the lines were fun.

This course was a mixed bag. The front 9 was mostly wide open and very easy. Back 9 was more interesting but the pars felt off. The par 5 should be a par 4. Serious navigation issues on the back 9. Rusty single chain baskets. Missing tee signs, and the ones that are there aren't always accurate. The back 9 is far enough away from the front 9 that you have to drive there. Despite all these flaws...

Fort Hamby DGC in North Carolina. I'd love to play it again. It was a fun course with some tricky lines.
iv prob played here like 30 times, because this is my school. You also did very good!
So that's what a hyzer flip looks like
I just got this for my level 1 run but since i didn't want to reset and died with my 4 humanities, I went and killed lautrec and got his 5 humanities and a couple I found along the way as well as a twin humanity from the gargoyles. which brought me to like 11 humanities which took no time at all. Its more fun playin though the game a lil rather than resetting and I still have the sword pre-capra demon. Hope this helps someone!!
Bring back Mike G, Mike S, Dave and Dan please
Crave is still in the bag 10 years later!
Does that soft eclipse proxy have a little less glide than its neutron counterpart or is that just for me? My favorite is this fission proxy.
i had no idea this was there. neat.
Here’s another good Charlotte course that’s sadly bit the dust
RIP to a great course, maybe one day..
Thanks for playing our course, and posting this video! If you haven't we'd love a review on UDisc. This was a fun course to design, and to see people enjoy. It's the home course of 2023 PDGA Men's Junior (under 18) World Champion Judah Kooistra.
This is sick! I live 2 blocks from this park and come here all the time! I practice a lot of these same shots
Love this video!! i stumbled across it as i knew I had watched it 12 years ago and I still throw anodes (have 3 in the bag)!!
This shouldn’t be shown as a guide, more of a what can happen if you have no life and dedicate every second to perfecting it.
This is amazing. I was throwing as hard as I can with my new glitch and could only get 174’ From what I gather, I need to throw softer and switch from a fan grip to a power grip for more spin, and also work on reducing off-axis torque by keeping my angle the same during my entire reachback and throw. I’ve been playing consistently all summer long and have my furthest throw up to 320’ with a Mamba, so I know my form is still trash and I’m pretty much muscling everything, but WOW this Glitch really showed me just how bad my form really is.
Dude ... Your boy friend still wont take you back.. you can drive a disc but not in the bedroom So put a shirt 👕 on
I wanted to watch the review and I said….. wait a minute that looks familiar and then realized it was Arbo hahaha
Roller on 14 is fire
This course is insane! It is not a driver disc you'd hand to a beginner as that they won’t get much distance etc. I’ve never seen my panic turn it’s super beef and wants to get to the ground quick with little glide. Most of the newer ones I have are really flat and lower glide whereas others have a pronounced dome and way more glide in the old stock disc’s. Well dude I hope your still crushing it. Thank you! Course looks amazing!
If you can create a nice snap then it will pop up and flight on a string for most of its flight. Decent disc for beginners and intermediate players would make a great first driver in the more baseline electron plastic. Love the video, wish everyone was this dedicated this much.
That crave & this soundtrack 🤌🏽🔥
Heck yeah! Awesome Ace.
I was looking at the thumbnail thinking it was one of my urban exploration subs. And clicked to see why it was so short. haha, nope, its disc golf.
My proton Tesla arrives tomorrow. This video is killer. Can't wait to throw this disc.
I dropped them in favor of the Wrath but man this video sure brings back memories. Was still fresh in the Carolinas, and called off work to make this video haha.
What are you putting with?
decade old soft neutron Ions
All arm, no brace on the backhand. Terrible form for anyone to emulate.
lol
Cool little course. Any chance you played Splinter City while you were down there? I used to vacation there and want to get back at some point soon specifically to play there and probably would ass this course into the mix as well.
Nope, did this and Socastee. I'll try Splinter City and some others I didn't get to next summer.
Sincerely incredible to see you throwing again!!!!! You doing well?
Yep! Thanks!
The #3 shot. None of our area forehanders see this kind of line. I rarely forehand, but when I do, this is my go to. I have holed out more short shots with a little flicked Envy than I have an approach backhand.
I've started using anny flicks a lot more this past year. I feel more accurate approaching with them compared to backhands.
You used to have a lot of great music in your old vids. Introduced me to quite a few songs I still listen to this day. I understand youtube isn't what it used to be, but figured it worth mentioning that I always enjoyed your music choices.
Glad someone out there appreciated the tunes! I miss having music in my videos but it complicated things. Videos would be blocked in certain countries etc. if I used well known bands. Maybe I'll sneak some songs in here and there...
Just bought one of these yesterday. Had some really great throws like a 230’ approach in a low line under some trees that parked the basket 👌
They're nice for shots like that.
I'm 8 years late - but, this is a good video. Thanks!
I've been digging these lately for low, long forehand drives.
9 years and no comments? Weird.
I still throw that blue Resistor from time to time. Flies great!
Discs stay in the air as long as gravity and glide allow them to. Spin affects gravity not one bit. Spin may improve glide slightly if it stabilizes the disc's flight. Providing spin to a putted disc does not offer an appreciably longer flight time.
If nothing else spin helps stabilize the disc vs the wind, which is a big benefit. It also lets me use a straighter flight path in the 50-100' range.
Sick Course. Love the Lizard
I might be up in OH in July or August, it'd be awesome to throw some courses again!
Props to the basket for catching that lazer beam ha
I was shocked, it looked like it popped out from where I was standing. Shame I couldn't hit the real basket too haha.
i play this course all the time its tough.
It's definitely got some tricky holes. It's one of those courses I feel like I'd need to throw 5 rounds before I feel like I've got the best lines figured out on every hole.
This video and a lot of your recent ones, are great for Proxy appreciation moments. Best disc in the world in my opinion. I really need to dial in my forehand with it, so I can hit stable line flights like you do.
The Eclipse Proxy seems to fade a bit harder than the others. I really enjoy flicking them. Gotta agree that the Proxy is the best disc on the market. If I could only play with one disc for the rest of my life, it'd be the Proxy.
@@thediscgolfvids I'm with you dude. I pre-ordered one of those Watts which seems pretty Proxy-adjacent with more glide. I have a feeling I'll be seeing a video about it from you when they release.
@@WindrunnerDiscs I'll pick one up and do a test video at some point
It always amazes me to watch you play different courses and make it look like you have them all dialed. Thanks for the vid.
Part of that is I always take the time to walk the fairways and scope out the hole really well. Makes the round take longer but it's worth it.
Whats wrong with the throwing hand? Still poppin those fingertips?? Ha
Yep, gets old quick. I'm all healed up now, just threw 18 today. Planning to film a Proxy round at Renny Gold soon.
😎 *Promo sm*
Hole 11, good ace 👏
Nice!
Tee pads give you any difficulty?
Nope, they worked fine. Really enjoyed this course, one of the better ones that I've played this year.
was that a legit 19 under? or were you using best takes on some of the holes?
I didn't even think about the score until you mentioned it. Short pitch and putt courses like this I feel like a 3 on a hole is a bogie. Generally speaking course videos are casual round rules, and disc tests are best of multiple throws. I may take a mulligan once a round but I'm not throwing each hole multiple times until I park it.
Nice Ace brah! Looked clean!
Classic lol
Nice flick! Do u find those soft neutrons to be more stable like the eclipse?
My black & pink regular neutron was nearly as soft as this run and flew the same. MVP / Axiom seems to like randomly running certain discs in soft neutron without labeling them. That blue Wrath I throw is one of em.
This is a cool video idea and also nice ace. I have been bagging uplink hex pyro combo for a bit now and it works great for me. Don't play much on windy days but would throw a reactor in the bag if I go to doubles league on a windy day. Speaking of, a doubles league vid would be a good vid for you to make and get a ton of clicks
I'd be all about filming a competitive round these days if I could find a card of people that'd be cool with that. It makes the round take longer and some people don't want to be on youtube, which I respect.
Nice ace runs on hole 4.
Are you liking the Eclipse Neutron Proxy over the Eclipse Soft Neutron Proxy? Great video!
They fly more OS than my soft N's, because those have years of wear and have broken in. I've been enjoying them. I went back and forth between the Proxy/Envy/Entropy combo and Proxy/Entropy, and having some more OS proxies has helped me reduce molds.
