I guess that's where the motivation differs. For me I always wanted to play for my friends and family and so I wanted to learn a couple of pieces I liked. And in the process of learning I practiced the techniques. But technique for the sake of technique never seems like an option to me since it's not going to affect how others experience my music. Interesting that it's not black and white for everybody

Fantastic!!!! This was so great! I bought a book and an online course and your one video was so much more fun, inspiring, and educational!

I think that it’s the small victories that keep me enjoying the process. When I feel like I’m making progress, that’s when I am most motivated to pick up my guitar and keep practicing. When I feel overwhelmed, maybe because I’m practicing too many different things and not making progress on any of them, that’s then I get discouraged. So, I think focused study is what helps, and where having a teacher, community, or familia flamenca really helps the process.
