Monsterama 2023: Professor Fear & Pinky excerpt
I didn’t know the beginning was an April fools prank
7:23 I feel like I vaguely remember this, like there was one specific voice that did the channel announcements on 90's TNT that was very sarcastic and out-there. George Lowe is a treasure, there should be an archive of his work.
Back when Austin didn't need to put an area code before any of our phone numbers. Just good old fashioned seven digits. This commercial is the ultimate in nostalgia.
Great Show. Made you think. Can you imagine if this was on in today's world?🤣🤔😏
Awwww...the Happy Worm!! Such fond childhood memories of that ride. This a great snapshot into those super busy Six Flags Saturdays!!
Damn two months before the world went to hell
The day after Jameis Winston's 2nd Birthday in 1996.
I watched "The New Soupy Sales Show!" On WXON-TV 20 Detroit, Michigan, since 1970's
Back when this park was great. They've killed it now.
Imagine if WATL had it’s very own 10pm newscast called WB 36 News at Ten it would air every night for one hour at 10 PM and it probably would be produced by WIXA But just using separate graphics for WATL. And use Jim Cutler, Bob Tracey, or Beau Weaver as the narrator.
Like to find this, any clues…?
The 1972 "Probe" pilot movie is available separately from "Search - The Complete Series" through Warner Archive. The Search series ran for only one season with 23 episodes. Also can try Amazon.
Next year Michael keaton shows up.
When the park was a park, with lots of shade provided by a park in a deep forest. Today this park is nothing more than asfault and heavy metal that comprise the rollercoasters. Sadly, if these same people ad brought their young child to SFOG today, the youngster wouldn’t have much to do with his parents and the adults wouldn’t have much to do with the youngster.
“Hi… come on in”. Takes me back to my childhood seeing this commercial every day and night. Cracking up at all these characters 😅😂🤣😁😄
I gave you his phone number. Why the fuck are you pissed at me?
Rest in Peace Adam West
0:47 Warner Bros. Television from the early 1970s
Do you have the full panel?
Wish I had more of that panel too, but unfortunately I do not. Sometimes I can only catch portions of certain panels on the fly.
Most excellent 😃
MORE GLOBAL WARMING
That looked like fun indeed. Happened the year I was born. It seems a lot happened in 1988.
I'm going to guess that you are an Aries.
Hello, This is hard to believe that this was just one year before the world was introduced to the Darker Batman from Tim Burton's world. The one most see today in the media. Adam however, was the true Batman and a legend among superheroes and a real champion.
Classic, they were the best.
LOVE THE THEME
Announcer
The announcer during these Search closing credits was Ed McMahon for The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. McMahon was Carson's co-host and sidekick.
To this day I still randomly say "Let's talk about ducks."
"Gappa vs. Caltiki ll"
That gun looked fake
Connie was a looker.
This is the movie that gave me nightmares two nights in a row when I was 5 years old, had to run into my parents' bed both nights. The scene that got me was closer to the start, where they pull a diver out of the cave pool and the flesh had been ripped off his face -- it was the grinning skull that did it to me. Even watching Jackie Gleason later that evening didn't help.
I was about that old when I saw it for my one and only time!
great Mario Bava movie!!
Dude driving the car has a monster for a forehead.
Can you imagine if they continued the series until 1988? What hijinks would they get into week after bat-week at the same bat-time and same bat-channel?
I remember Bebe. I thought she was the most beautiful woman in Atlanta.
What a cool guy 👍👍 My childhood hero!! Glad to see you still looking like a million dollars.
Adam West was handsome
This was the man.
Nirvana smells like teen spirit?
That reporter's last name is hymen 😄
Thanks for breaking the news to us....get it? Get it??
Adam West will always be Batman!
It was an incredibly fun day. Adam West and Burt Ward were great sports...
The episode The Vampire aired on Friday October 4th, 1974. I went to the public library in Oakland, California and I got to look at the October 11th through October 20th, 1974 and the October 25th through October 31st, 1974 issues of the Oakland Tribune. The above issues are on microfilm. The dates of October 11th, 18th, and 25th was replaced by the ABC Special Movie Presentation. October 11th, 1974 True Grit October 18th, 1974 Guns of Navarrone October 25th, 1974 Hartari
ABC repeated "The Vampire" the night of Dec. 27, 1974 during Christmas week, which is when this audio was recorded. The ratings services take the week off for the holiday, hence the repeat. Also listen to the announcer. The Telly Savalas Wide World Special on karate also aired later that night, which can be found in newspaper, TV Guide, and other listings.
@pleasestandby4496 I did check the Oakland Tribune for Friday, January 3rd, 1975. Channel 7 aired a documentary special at 10:00pm titled Illegal aliens: The Gate Crashers. The series returned on Friday, January 10th, 1975. Episode Mr. R.I.N.G.
RIP Adam West (aka Batman).
I need that in a shirt.. awesome
🎉🎉
I will never see Robin in the same light again after Burt said what he had to do about his "shorts"
RIP ADAM WEST
Met Mr. West at a car show when I was 10. Such a kind and warm man.
I remember these two! What great commercials back then!
