He throws my max deadlift overhead like an empty bar… bruh
Can anyone tell me why russian lifters never lock the first reps in doubles and triples
Kuat iniii
Just another garage in Russia. Some guy snatching 190...
In France when i was young and i clean it...all people of gym see me the mouth open... .other country..other values....(ps and i was SHW of 350 lbs BW...)
@@goggles789 It's an American gym in Massachusetts that's now closed and Vasily was a coach there.
@@goggles789 Look up Norwood Weightlifting and Yasha Khan for more information about that at all. Yasha was who got him to the US. I believe Vasily still does online coaching and calls it VASFit.
crosshit
You don't know who Polovnikov is, right?
he can't get up with it, that's embarassing
I love how at 2:26 he throws a temper tantrum.
fuck crossfit
Luca S this aint crossfit...
what beast!
what song start at 0:28
I love how Vasiliy hang power snatches 150 for a triple about as easily as I can use the empty bar. Insanely strong fellow.
song from 2:31?
song at 2:15?
steppin over the bar? klokov and koklaev would have some problems with that methinks
This guy is so fucking cool. Love his strap celly after every lift.
Where is this?
These are not muscle snatches. In a muscle snatch, elbows don't descend.
what a fucking beast!!!
what song starts at 2:15?
The Way we see the world - Like Mike, Nervo, Dmitry Vegas
1:25 track name?
vot tak vot
what is song in 1,34 - 2,00 ???
I think it's Kay & Stoxx feat. Mary Jeras - Ain't nobody (M.A.D 2013 rework) If it's not, it's some sort of cover/remix of Chaka Khan's "Ain't Nobody."
Damn wish I had a training partner!..great work fellas
Originally from Vermont, but my training partner and I have a club up in Potsdam New York where we both go to school (Clarkson University).
sick lifting - where are you from?
oh haha, where do you train now?
Thanks man! Looks like you've made a ton of progress on your lifting. I actually remember meeting you back in Moorestown two summers ago. Keep it up!
cool exercise!
No, it's ridiculously easy to add hip contact back into the snatch and replace the original positions. The pull is virtually identical. Also, even if it did mess with my pull a little bit, I'm not concerned as currently I'm in an extended strength phase. Technique will come quickly once my program starts to target the classic lifts again. Thanks for the comments!
Thanks for reply! Are you concerned at all about interfering with the motor pattern of your regular snatch?
It teaches you to finish with the arms. I was told that the arms are underutilized in weightlifting due to early teachings of using legs, hips, and keeping the arms loose. While this works for the first and second pull, afterward the bar must be continually pulled with the arms and actively put in place into the finishing position. My snatches have dramatically improved after muscle snatch work without hip contact.
Nice man! What is the main purpose of training no hip contact snatch?
it's a pleasure watching your near-perfect technique. love it. keep it up!
This I realize. Thanks for the comment!
lol heaps good
Don't be angry. hehe
I definitely agree. Absolute strength is the base of all other types of strength.
Thanks! About 2 years now.
Easy weights for you man. How long have you been training?
Thanks!
dude, insanely strong. nice lift
Thanks for the support! Last program I did a variation of both lifts 5 days a week and on the sixth day I still did a variation of the snatch. Current cycle is more strength based, so the classic lifts are done three times a week and are separated over those days. The other three days are basically comprised of olympic style deadlifts (snatch grip, clean grip, med grip, from deficit), pulls, squats, presses, and back accessory work. In order to maintain good technique, you need a STRONG base.
hey, fantastic videos. what's you training routine like? how often do you snatch/c&j, squat/dead etc. feel free to pm me :) keep it up!
I'm originally from New England and have been to the NTC before so this summer it's not too hard to get down there. I currently train in Potsdam New York though due to college, but knowing Vasiliy was at the NTC it was worth it to me to go see him, Yasha, and Nikita.
Hey do you train in MA? Just saw you post that norwood Video.
wow!
Good to know, thanks!
By removing the hip contact in the muscle snatch, you are forced to pull the bar VERY forcefully with your arms in order to move it high enough to press above your head. Despite what you may have heard about the usage of the arms in the snatch, after you explode off your hips, you must forcefully pull under the bar and press it above your head, both of which are primarily arm and shoulder movements. This exercise strengthens both, and has personally made my lifts much faster and more precise.
what are the benefits of these?
Count me in for the seminar.
