My father used to go there with his father. Welcome back
I went to Lundy’s all the time growing up ( I’m 81] . This has nothing to do with the original . There was nothing fancy about Lundy’s, it had the famous clam bar, stucco walls ,. Lobster Thermidor. People did not come for steak and red wine. Seafood and more seafood. But then that was before the gentrification of Brooklyn, which sapped the character out of the borough.most of the people who went their were working class and middle class families. Can’t see these people coming here.
My family were regular customers of the original Lundy’s as was I. My grandparents, great aunts and uncles were at least 30 years your senior and like I would approve of this location carrying in the Lundy’s tradition
Best dimsum place

This is so nice, I love looking at my Mama’s home town! Mama and her older sister were raised in Beacon, way way back in the day! They were know as The Girls, here comes The Girls, the folks around town said. Maiden name is Aurelius, they lived on Union Street right around the corner from St. Luke’s Episcopal Church where my parents were married. Mama was thrilled to see the Movie Nobody’s Fool, she would watch it and point out who lived where, “ if you turn left you’d go down this street or that street.” My Mama also used to babysit Digger Phelps when she was in High School! Dad took her back to his hometown in Ohio where they set up house, in the mid 70s we moved here to Arizona. I have some memories of visiting my Aunt and Uncle Gwen and Bob Freeman in the early 70s when I was small, then I accompanied Mama back to Beacon in 2000. I will always have those memories. I still have distant cousins in and around Beacon, Fishkill, Poughkeepsie. I have probably 150+ years of ancestors buried in St. Luke’s Cemetery.
faite attention cette ville comme beaucoup de grande villes américaine est très dangereuse
Same recipes. The biscuits are free. Yes. They have the Shore Dinner which was invented at Tappans and was also popular at Feltman’s. It’s very good and and celebrates the original
Shore Dinner? Manhattan Clam Chowder? Those biscuits are teeny compared to the original.
Great store to purchase fresh pasta.
They have the Manhattan Special iced coffee in the glass bottles!
I have been going to that store since the late 1980s.
They know me there since the late 1980s and early 1990s, I would shop there for my neighbor Lina Mastrangello and my mother.
On the weekends Arthur Ave is very crowded, if a person can shop there during the weekdays it will not be crowded in the various stores.
Molto Bene!
One of my favorite pizza shops in Arthur Ave.
