Line 3 Replacement Service (1 Year Later)
if it takes the ttc a year to make a service like this, i don't want to know how they'll handle other major service changes

Trying to Ride the Richmond Hill Line

you might think that riding a train line out to the middle of nowhere to walk an hour to get back would be a bad experience. you're clearly smarter than me.

Second question, when did Scarborough Town Centre become Scarborough Centre? I moved away in 1993...
the station has always been called scarborough centre, it's the mall that's called scarborough town centre
@@theryrover360 Thanks, I always think of the mall. I think I rode the old RT maybe once.
Those were new vehicles? Damn those seemed like pretty rough rides!
yeah that's what you get with the north american bus industry having no competition from international manufacturers
Now new flyer Artic been running in 939 Finch express
viva pinada intro sequence goes hard
how is it a weird route
Videos are getting better, but less commentary from your ‘partner in crime’ would have made this more enjoyable…
i think this too
Bessarion is a funny little station but there is development slowly being built around it and once line 4 is extended, it might see more use as the development is finished
Great tour of Greenwood Shop. Nostalgic for me as I used to work there (one of many TTC locations over 30 years) It's great for people to see what goes on behind the scenes and the talented people that work there maintaining the vehicles and infrastructure in good and safe condition.
Best station on the network and anyone who disagrees is a fucking loser
Another very thorough review!
Least used most beautiful
It's also the only station that's half underground and half above ground. Very interesting design
Woah that’s crazy nobody else has EVER thought of this idea before! Good analysis of the station! Looking forward to the rest of the series!
Are you going to be making another version of this once Line 2 reopens?
i'll probably leave it for someone else
Its now even weirder! Its now the only non-400 route that uses wheel-trans buses!
was it because they were allocating buses for other routes? imagine if they also did this with the toronto zoo bus or 101 downsview park
thats so interesting, do you have a footage of it?
Just found out that this bus goes right in front of Drakes house lol
Thanks for the history. I remember that rail disaster. It dominated the news and there were mass evacuations due to leaking chlorine. Very unfortunate that the barriers between seats are still up. Like many free Wifi that one has too many steps! Love the doggy sock. 😊 Looove the small harmonica. Mine are just regular. So, your video is quirky and fun even without the train (the reason I watched). Cloudles… on mashed potatoes? Usually stadiums memorialize the fallen of past wars. Argentia is probably named after a place in Newfoundland settled in the 17th century. Argentia is latin for place with silver or place of silver or such. Fun trip. Thanks!
is this WR?
Is PATH governed by the FRA because it crosses state borders? Pretty interesting. I wonder if PATCO in Philly / Camden is also similarly governed
pretty sure it because it utilizes tracks that mainline trains *could* run on, so it's out of an abundance of caution if mainline trains ever needed to run on PATH tracks
@@theryrover360 that's fascinating, I wonder if anything like that has ever actually happened
its classified as a commuter rail iirc, so it has more strict regulations then the MTA such as the fact its driven by "locomotive engineers" instead of "operators"
I legit got so confused at first. I was like where in Toronto is this when you came out. Great transition
Criminal! You filmed on PATH! (/jk, great video :D)
Drop something about the new 114 bro i love your content
I was going to say it was in august 11 2023 In summer
UofT vending machines were shameful when I was there lol
Thank you for this knowledge.
this is a really cool thing to collect :) I only have Presto, Compass (Vancouver), Niagara's tourist route transit pass (lol), and Lisbon's Navigante (unfortunately it is cardboard but its reusable)
That brought back some memories. In the 80s and 90s I frequently took the Woodbine 91C to get from Lawrence/Underhill to the subway. Interesting to catch glimpses of obvious teardown/rebuilds amongst the original housing stock.
Nice idea
Richmond Hill is worse because there is no way to get back
If TTC had a Grand Prix for the drivers i wanna see how fast it would takedrivers to complete this route
This was awesome ! The TTC can be my best friend or worst nightmare on a daily basis. Sometimes both in one day! Thanks for sharing !!
Thanks, interesting video. I grew up in Don Mills and still have family there. When visiting I've seen buses on the Donway and wondered about the route they take. The Post Road/Bridle Path area has been like that for a long time. I cut through there to get from Lawrence to Bayview many times.
HYPE VIDEO 🔥🔥🔥
DUDE YOUR FRIEND ELI LOOKS LIKE MY FRIEND ELI WHO ALSO LIKES TRANSIT
Since you mentioned the 171 Mt Dennis, 176 Mimico GO and the 507 Long Branch, i wonder if you'll check them out as well. I'd also consider the 71 Runnymede weird since it loops through Mt Dennis division even though the 171 exists
Weird
I chuckled about the pronunciation of Smyth. This has been a 70 year losing battle, because it was named for the Smyth family that was pronounced as Smith (the original spelling of the family name).. It was newcomers who changed the pronunciation to what most people use today.
We need to stand together as citizens to make Ottawas transit better! Great video, keep up the work.
nice video, it’s very nice to see 2 of my passions combined, speed running and oc transpo
i might do one myself
If anyone asks, the 78 ST. ANDREWS exists since GO used to operate the Dial-A-Ride services in that area in the mid-70s.
First
Nice! I was wondering why this area had a bus service (not that complaining about places getting services). But i guess the mix of low-rise apartments and wealthy influential people in the big homes might've led to the continuation of the line. Just a theory
My goodness, some of these houses are *enormous*!
This was interesting, it's cool how these old bus routes are still serving subway connections after all these years. It must be a pretty nice route for the driver, not much traffic and pretty wide suburban roads it seems.
OMG RY ROVER 360 UPLOAD
They will finish in the next fall
