thank you so much for what you do !Amazing Work and thank you so much for you hard work. Very much appreciated.
im stuck at first person
Is there any other, more basic, programs my team cam use that just shows a map with real time location of the people on it?
Sure. Share you location on Google Maps
Why do you have no GPS?
i turned it off
I didn't succed to download Google maps xml files from github and imported in MOBAC. After I copied xml files to MOBAC Map Source, I receive this error at MOBAC lunch: Failed to load a custom map. Please if you can pus each steps. Thanks.
But it's not Online
I can't get out of the first person tool.
Press the back button on your android device a bunch of times.
@@ATAKwizard dont work
Try these methods. They all work for me. a) press the back button b) press the binocular button in the top left c) make sure 3D maps aren't on. Hold the compass in the top left. The "3D" icon should appear. Hold it to change it on and off. d) If nothing works, use the "Clear Content" tool e) still broken? Uninstall and reinstall.
Hi.How do I know how many kms am I doing in the current track? Is there a way of seeing that in the lines that are being recorded?
@@enriqueramongonzalez5912 yeah. In the track history tool, it show all of the recorded tracks. It states their name, time, and total distance.
Can you help me get an account?
i have given up on meshtastic costed me hundreds of euro's and it never really worked (TBEAM)
You are the best!! Thank you!!
Why does yours say No GPS. Mine was working fine but all of a sudden installed on a new device in a new country Andi have no gps
@@BusterBraddock I was inside when I made the video and likely didn't have GPS reception
@@ATAKwizard I've been struggling to set mine up, been using it on my other device for a couple years and then all of a sudden won't work
@@BusterBraddock If you're still talking about not having GPS, do the following: 1) Make sure the phone's Location permissions allow ATAK to use it all of the time (phone settings). 2) Make sure your phone's locations are enabled. 3) In ATAK, go to SETTINGS > CALLSIGNGS AND DEVICE PREFERENCES > DEVICE PREFERENCES > GPS PREFERENCES > GPS OPTIONS > Set to "Internal GPS Only". Let me know if this doesn't work.
Pls come back brother
Im need link please
Wat
How i can download ATAK help me please 🙏
It's on the google play store
I've noticed that the bearing on the quick Pic feature for me is incorrect. I took a picture facing about 25º and it drew the bearing closer to 310º. Is there any way to manually correct the bearing on a picture? Or better yet a way to recalibrate so this more correct?
While we are in the same wifi router why my contact is not visible to other users
If I can ping my server but I’m getting connection refused when trying to sign in what could it be? I’m on 4.10 wintak and atak
Im just getting into TAK, downloaded it a few hours ago on a separate device with no data connections. Is there a way to bypass ATAK/WINTAK and put it straight into the device (ie: tethering it to the laptop and transferring the file)?
What atlas format should one choose? I have watched your video (thank you) a few times and could not find it. This is during the install process.
Is MBTiles an option? If so, go with that.
Steps: 1. Atlas / New Atlas 2. Write a name for Atlas 3. Atlas Format: MBtiles SQLite
Can you explain how this is easier or better than using the ATAK or WINTAK software to download imagery? I'm skeptical but willing to hear you out because I'm desperate to find the most accurate imagery in the most efficient way
Yeah, I've just found MOBAC to be significantly more reliable. ATAK and WINTAK don't have a legitimate "progress bar" with messages, so if there's an error or the download fails (which it does a lot), you won't know unless you literally watched it happen. MOBAC, in my experience, doesn't fail, and the progress bar tells you if it's completed, or had errors or whatever. I'll still use ATAK for small, super simple downloads where I can watch the download progress and confirm it worked. WINTAK is crazy buggy, don't use it for downloading maps. MOBAC for anything medium/large sized, or with different layers.
@@ATAKwizardI’m currently watching a large file fail over and over on WINTAK and ATAK. Do you have access to TAK-TIKS and if so, is MOBAC better? My big thing is that I wish I could plot a point on MOBAC and download around it. I spent a ridiculous amount of time correlating myself to where I wanted to download because it didn’t have any obvious landmarks.
Also, MOBAC crashed on me too😂
Looking forward to the Zerotier video, gonna see if I can figure it out in the meantime. This is the information so many others are glossing over when showcasing the abilities of ATAK. I like the radio options because the system can then be fully sustainable on our end with little to no outside hassle. Meshtastic is very intriguing as well.
Very helpful video, but I find that click sound extremely annoying, so maybe you could disable it for fututure videos because it's not of any help at all anyway?
Yeah, my production value for this was pretty low. I'm working on remaking the videos, sans clicking noises.
Hi mate, Any chance you can you freelance for some maps for me?
Any chance theres a map of canada
All of the Google maps sources work for Canada
It doesn't work for Brazil, I'm having problems with that
Hey mate, any chance we can pay you to make 2x maps for me?
Hey man. Check out my video on MOBAC- making maps is easy as hell. If not message me again and I'll try to help ya out.
@@ATAKwizard thanks, just need the osmond source which i cant find at all, then add it to MOBAC also, what file format should you use, ive been using MBTiles SQlite, would that format work for atak?
What do you mean by Osmond source? Check the link in the description and you can download the Google maps xmls, which can then be added to MOBAC. But yeah, mbtiles works and is recommended.
@@ATAKwizard Thanks mate.. got it working..
Hur-o i am also simprul man who wants to trak on atak How dose me see whos american or not Frank you
Step 1: Watch the Wizard Step 2: Like and subscribe Step 3: ? Step 4: Profit Frank you
I don't see the import button. Did something get updated?
What does the " Auto send " and " Broadcast" button do ?
I'm pretty sure "broadcast" sends to all of your contacts, and "auto send" will send, and then resend, the thing whenever it is changed or updated on your end.
Im subscribed! This info is exactly what im looking for! I see you are making a ZierTier vid, can you also make a Vid showing link using commercially available Ham/GMRS HT like quansheng uv-k6(nice little "customizable" firmware HT), Baofeng, Radtel ect as a redundancy.... Like say maybe the TOC is using WinTak hooked to the net and EUD are in airplane mode hooked to handhelds in a network denied AO
How did you export maps from Google Maps?
I added the Google Maps imagery source by importing the .xml files. I downloaded imagery from these sources using MOBAC, which I've made a separate video for.
Thanks I figured it out about a hour later @@ATAKwizard
If I create checkpoints in qgis, is there a way to import those checkpoints? Or import the route? Also, are the spoken alerts limited to navigation, or can I give them alternate text to say? E.g. "switch to channel 5"
I'm no familiar with qgis, sorry. In routes, you can choose a "custom cue" for a checkpoint. I don't think it will speak the cue, but it will display it.
Thanks
thank you so much for these tutorials they are simple, short and intuitive, all i need to learn this combat app
Please teach me how to install free tak sever.😅
Did anyone teach you so that you can teach us???
Can custom grid systems in addition to the ones included in the app by default be added? Like Indian grid systems?
Not to my knowledge, no. The "GRG Builder" Plugin MIGHT be of use though.
I don't dabble in ggogle eartrh so I don't know how to save XML from it or any other map source. You only say that's where you get the xml, but not how to get it from such apps. Can you make a short vid explaining that? Sorry if this seems basic, but I am a novice to online maps and good at old fashioned GMRS maps. Thank you in advance if you can make that vid!
I posted a link to the Google .xml files in the description. Download those .xmls and add them to the MOBAC "Map Sources" folder
They don't download as .xml files, they download as Edge files with only the code text. @@ATAKwizard
Just a heads up, after liking most of your videos UA-cam asked if your channel was helpful to which I gave you 5 stars and Marked that it was informative and helpful. Just outta curiosity what branch and MOS were you? Former 19Delta Cav 82nd Airborne 5\73rd here. Keep up the good work.
Great job m8! Super useful stuff!
Thank you for being VERY CLEAR in this video. As I am pretty new to all this IT stuff but have the desire to figure it out. Thanks again!
I have spent the past few days trying to get ATAK-CIV to work correctly and I have watched countless UA-cam videos but most were somewhat outdated. It was not until I typed "CIV ATAK 2023" into the search box before I found your videos. I hope that I will have some success lol. I would maybe suggest that you place some Tags on your videos in variations so UA-cams algorithm possibly suggests you more. Thanks for your commitment!
Great guide m8! I dunno how to get XML files from Google maps.. Can u put a link to downloead them?
Can do! Just posted a Github link in the video description.
in those extreme cases it's better to use a Ad Hoc Network (MANET)
What about for the ITAK, Using the Apple Watch?
Great networking video ATAKWizard!! Just a comment on VPN, I dont think you meant to say it but at 7:06 you said you need a VPN to use a TAK server. Also ZeroTier is not a TAK Server of any sort. It is a essentially a layer 2 VPN service. Keep the videos coming!
Good video. Just want to clarify for anyone watching...the 'bad guy' has to have a TAK device that is on the same server or network. It will not detect a random person walking into your geofence.
Correct. Someone will have to manually "report" the enemy's location by using the point drop tool. Additionally, there are sensors available, such as the Gantz-Mountain MT5R, that can automatically create points when objects are detected by a camera. Pretty neat stuff.
thank you sir, good stuff on this channel
How do like and subscribe? And can you make more cat videos?
