Quickly making a name for themselves with their sun-soaked reggae-inspired sound, Corrella have become a new favourite on the Aotearoa music scene. Their single ‘Blue Eyed Māori’ was the sleeper hit of 2023, with 2024 establishing them as one of the hottest live bands in the country.
Named for the naval-base where the band met, 2023 saw the release of their debut album, Road From 26. The album is a powerful, modern & outright vibe which takes the listener on a journey from Corrella’s past to present. With their signature feel-good roots-reggae, the album saw them incorporating funk, soul & pop-rock sounds throughout.
Driven by rhythm guitiarist & hype man Te Naawe Tupe (Ngāi Tūhoe) & vocalists Pipiwharauroa & Ngawaiwera Campbell (Ngāi Te Rangi, Ngāti He, Ngāti Pukenga), Corrella have spent 2024 honing their live show and completing a killer new album.
