Twin Peaks - Laura Palmer's Theme (Love Theme) - Piano cover
As genius David Lynch just passed away I wanted to record one of the most beautiful pieces written by Angelo Badalamenti for the series Twin Peaks, Laura Palmer's Theme or Love Theme, with its astonishing contrasts between a funeral march and the bright middle part like the first glimpses of love.

A little composition following a typical narrative structure we find a lot in music and summed up by the title. I really like the serenity of the theme in the blissful tonality of F Sharp Major, and the idea of decadency with the descending D Flat#5 chord (a "cosmic chord", as my composition teacher called it). Hope you will like it !

A short improvisation after spending some days at my parents for Christmas, which is always a fulfilling experience. The improv is made in A major tonality with warm comforting basses, a singing theme in the medium part of the piano, and some inner voices to add movement to the whole. Hope you will like it ! A piano version of the song "Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido" by KAROL G that I recently discovered. I like the ballad form for this piece as it puts in evidence even more the contrast between the dynamic melody and the romantic harmony that makes the piece very charming to my sense. I had a lot of fun doing this transcription, hope you will like it.

As Autumn is arriving in Paris, one of the well-known Erik Satie pieces, the first Gnossienne in f minor, with its mesmerizing theme. Some pianists like to play it with a lot of rubato and pedal, but I prefer to play it in a more "constant" mood, adding contrasts in the nuances but not in the rhythm itself. Hope you will enjoy it.
