Kotkin dude. Prepare for my bribe of mesquite BBQ and Atlantic seafood for your charming company.
Amazing video! Thanks for sharing. Finally someone publicly speaks in English regarding role of Soviet climbers in development of sport climbing. Check the Wikipedia in English and you will not find a single mentioning of that.
Prediction: whoever is elected in November, absent a Russian ceasefire and retreat, the US will "defend" Ukraine [and Israel] and absent a US withdrawal, Russia will continue to wreck Ukraine. The obvious precedent was Cuba in 1962, which would have been invaded and destroyed had JFK followed the recommendations of the JCS and his handlers. Instead JFK defied his right wing and made a deal to pull the Jupiter missiles out of Turkey in 1962 if Kruschev would remove his missiles from Cuba. GH Bush promised not to extend Nato eastward. Every president since then has extended NATO and rejected peace efforts.
I love it when she said, "The Rapid Response Team takes time".
Stop smearing and attacking Orthodox Christians.

I wish this discussion was more relatable. Not theoretical ideas but weave these into current events. We cannot assume each student or American will connect every dot ! This is what’s lead to Iranian protests on 2 major university campuses yesterday 4/25/24! These students have no idea they are representing Ayatollah Komani ! And his Islamic Revolution in Iran. The Iranians need some help or something and they are begging for it. Many American & CanadCanadian Iranians are very active. Please get original testimony from them! Students. Gen Z and millennials will only believe original testimony from immigrants who know both sides and which is more dangerous!
Not even a single mention of garage old mans fixing their carbs? Psh! Unreal.
Cargo200 is our "New Russian [Fascist] Security Order"
Complete distortion of history. Disgusting. The U.S. and NATO have continued to terrorize and provoke Russia for decades.
Appears to much BS by second speaker, paid by third country?
he is delusional and trying to present what is happening in Russia in the most complimentary way for a Western audience.
hm. Questionable.
How long has Armenia been in the South Caucuses? 6000, 7000 years! How and when was Azerbaijan ( 32 year young) country created? Artsakh is old Armenian native land as is Nakhijevan ( Armenian name meaning land before Noah’s landing) and so is Eastern Turkey where Genocide was committed by the Ottoman Turks.
Stalin was every right to be paranoid, he was betrayed by his friends who was a police snitch
Well he is right, you have to be a people person to make it happen
Well being a teacher's pet is not sure whatsoever
McFaul peddles usual neocon bs. What he says about 2014 coup is laughable. Russiagate too, he was proved wrong about that.
Speaking truth to power, thank you Dr. Mujanovic for all your work for Bosnia
UH OH LIKE UH LIKE UH OM AID AID OH TOTAL WASE OF TAXPAYERS MONEY ,SICKENING PARASITISM OH DUH DUH
I'm not huge on Stalin or Russia but I can listen to/Prof Kotkin all day any day. He's makes it so interesting
am I seriously expected to listen to 3 guys talking about women for over an hour.... Columbia, you can do better #representationmatters
devoutly cohen-ian . . . what an unvaluable legacy of free thought, clarity and compassion
funny to hear someone who has no idea what is Russa trying to analize smth
we don't need to show support the war - because everybody are invested in it.
we support our president, I will go and vote for Putin for sure.
Imagine interrupting Stephen Kotkin thinking your clever, and then your a fool forever.
Former US ambassador to Russia during Reagan/Bush terms undermines the false narratives of a violent warmongering US and its vassal states allies. ua-cam.com/video/FxjD02QnvJU/v-deo.htmlsi=SeGu22DMDX767Yp7
As i type casualties in Ukraine exceed 500,000 Ukrainian youth. $2+ trillion in damages. 5 million refugees draining the resources of neighboring nations in this US lead proxy war. Since September 11 we've left millions dead, many more wounded 39 million refugees and several nations in ruins across the greater middle east? To what purpose are we slaughtering Innocents? Simultaneously US is funding and providing massive quantities of bombs to be used for ethnic cleansing by the monster Netanyahu. How does any ethical moral individual justify this barbarism? Here at home weve enabled the death of 41,000 and wounding of 80,000 annually using weapons of war in civilian hands. How do the members of Columbia and other war loving institutions live with this cruelty? We need peace. There's 8 billion precious humans today and every year another 80 million, population of UK, joins us. Yet US #1 export is war, perpetual war.
There is no shortage of information showing US has been behind so much of the suffering and slaughter unleashed on the world. US illegal war in Iraq is a carbon copy of Russia's illegal war. There's several sources who have the receipts on US interference in Ukraine, Russia, and other nations elections. Funding of opposition groups and propaganda outlets inside these nations. The US would consider any other nations attempt to interfere here an act of war. Why does our once independent media and institutions like Columbia now feel they must act as outlets for US propaganda? ua-cam.com/video/0uRXkw3_0BE/v-deo.htmlsi=OvbJxxhNvnxomyJ0
No nation is forced to join nation, so please STOP blaming NATO for expanding. Had the former CCCP treated their former satellite nations more favourably, they wouldn't have fled into the 'arms' of NATO.
