A real diamond or diamond like ring would have much more structure to secure the stone. A rock like that absolutely gives off non- diamond vibes as does costume jewelry because the basket is basically on a peg while the band is much too thin. Be careful, this style is not for everyday wear if you do chores or work a lot with your hands.

I used Amy and forever for love to buy the Victoria elongated hybrid crushed ice oval in a 14x9. I also had a pair of oval earrings 2 ct each 4 tcw made. They are both stunning. Im looking for a second ring and have considered a bigger oval like this video, a marquise and an emerald. Amy really knows her jewelry. Im looking to buy a lab diamond in the same size, but want to try them all before purchasing something so expensive. The Moissanite is so beautiful that I can literally have it made into a cocktail ring or pendant. I'm even considering a broach or putting it in a white gold and Moissanite tiara for family weddings in future.

Lovely ring! I do have to say, I like the oval better, just probably because my moissanite is that shape. Some advice: my large pear shaped diamond chipped at the girdle tip... it was repaired with a V tip! You may want to consider one for your large 🍐 pear! Congratulations 👏!

Girrrl i just order the same ring off etsy but a 3ct. I was tired of my diamonds falling out as well. That is why I chose the solitaire.

I'm not engaged, so take everything I say with a grain of salt, but I think its unrealistic to wear just 1 ring for the rest of your life. I LOVE Jewelry especially rings and I'm currently interested in 5 different ring types and styles. Who says I only need to choose 1? I was talking with a jewler Friend stressing over the fact that I can't choose just one ring and she goes why not get them all?! Thankfully they are gemstone rings and much more affordable. Its great that you continue to change up your ring! I plan on having a rotating drawer with all of my favorites.

A ton of people loved my ring from FFL, Amy ended up making a listing with 'The Amanda' in it so that people would find it easier. So The Amanda setting is just a plain thin solitaire with hidden halo. I noticed she has one called 'The Victoria' too, assuming that's yours! Haha.

Girllll that is a bigger stone than Cardi B’s famous Pear shaped engagement ring Lol , you go girl ! I think it’s beautiful ! Buy and wear whatever makes you happy , I have always felt like we all only live once and if you can afford to upgrade more than once than you do whatever makes you smile 😃. If we have all learned anything since Covid , it’s that life can change in an instant , we need to enjoy what makes us happy while we are here . If that means changing your ring a few times until your completely satisfied , then you go ahead and do that . While I’ve always loved the look of an oval on others hands , I did not care for how it looked on my hand at all . I have short stubby fingers and my round brilliant just suited me much better , only wish I knew about Moissanite back then lol . I chose platinum too , it is the more superior metal to hold a diamond , however because it’s denser & softer, they have to use a lot more of it than they would gold and that’s where the extra expense comes in . It does make my rings heavier than my solid white gold pieces though , but def not uncomfortable in any way . Platinum also scratches much easier than gold though , something many don’t know about platinum . It also develops a patina over time, that I happen to love , but not everyone loves that silvery darker patina . I chose platinum because I didn’t want to be bothered with the yellowing of white gold over time and having to go for redipping of rhodium down the road . I have many friends and family members that chose white gold over platinum and their rings are all just as beautiful today as years ago and no one I know has ever had an issue with their setting over many many years . So I say there are pros and cons for both metals, that’s for sure ! Wishing you both many many years of happiness together ! As long as you are marrying the right person and your best friend , trust me , it wouldn’t really matter, if you were wearing a piece of plastic on your finger ! Us girls will always love shiny sparkly things that’s for sure ! ,Love that your fiancé actually drew it up and you designed it together too ! Me and my Hubby custom designed mine together also . It was so many years ago , that I have had thoughts of changing the setting before , but because we designed it together , that makes it that much more special to me , so I have decided to never change my setting after all ! Thank you so much for sharing your engagement ring journey with us , it was super fun to watch and very informative on Moissanite as well . Thanks to your videos and so many others I’ve watched on this beautiful gem , I decided to keep my original diamond engagement ring setting the way it is , and design a Moissanite wedding set , most likely with a pear shaped center stone ,because other than a round brilliant diamond , pear was another favorite of mine too . It’s an awesome way for me to get that different look I want sometimes ,without spending the kind of money we spent on my diamond ring that’s for sure ! Hello, your ring is beautiful! I recently purchased a ring from them and then I watched this video and am confused on the cut as far as crushed ice vs hybrid crushed ice. Did you have to request the hybrid cut? Some of their listings state “Hybrid” in the title and others state that you can have the option of a “crushed ice / hybrid forever” stone in the description section of the listing. I messaged Amy asking what the difference was and she is re-cutting the stone (I think) I assumed it was either or depending on which ring is purchased but I’m still confused. 😩
