Metta / Loving-Kindness Meditation
Join me for this lovely Metta Meditation practice!
A Metta, or Loving-Kindness, Meditation is an expression of well-being and happiness you wish most deeply for yourself, not just for today, but in an enduring, lasting way, that you then extend to all other living beings. It consists of a few simple phrases that are big enough and general enough you can wish them for everyone. We begin by wishing ourselves well, then move on to wishing a loved one well, then someone who plays a neutral role in our life, and finally to all earthly beings. Metta Meditations open us to the possibility of inclusion, connection, and caring both for ourselves and for others, and makes a meditation practice accessible to all.
You have the option to practise this meditation seated or in a supine position.
