Snortin’ with the Norton along Route 82 in beautiful upstate New York.
Nice job bringing it back from the grave. I love the T160 too
❤
looks good i have a 76 flh that looks similar orig paint
so beautiful!
I don't think the Electra Glide emblem on the front fender is correct, they came with a reflector only on the front and rear fenders...and of course the seats not stock...Really nice bike though.
Damn Nice FLH real sweet👍
Amazing 🏆
Love all the AMF era tank graphics. 5 speed transmission was first introduced in 1980 on the rubber mounted FLT Tour Glide chassis.
That's by far the best sounding old shovelhead I've heard in a long long time. It's also the cleanest!
CLONE😂😂😂
Now that is sweet👍S&S make superior repro parts, carbs and whole engines. If I was doing a rebuild I’d use their Pan in a second. I think they do a knuck as well. Ahh that sound and no kick( I’m old and can’t kick like I used to). From what I hear runs nice and smooth as well👍
We have very different ideas of what is "all original" - so apart from the seat, levers, blue dots, oil cooler, cruiser pegs, extra lights, ignition.....still lovely though. Wouldn't call Cycle Guard alarm "foolproof", they mostly shook to bits, got quieter and quieter and could be killed by squirting stuff through the vents - Harley only fitted them for a couple of years I recall. Something doesn't sound quite right with the engine, that whine worries me, maybe it is the recording device creating it but I'd get a proven expert to ride her. As nice as that tank design is I do prefer the 1973 "zebra crossing" design, especially a black tank with the red, white and blue bars.
Nice! Particularly the turbine wheels! They are the coolest alloys around!
What is the winning noise is it the alternator?
Gear drive for the cam is on the tight end of the tolerance.
Were you able to modify the mufflers for louder sound? If so are you happy with the result.
Original? With all these changes.? Get real
I have the 81 FLH. Looks identical to this - same rims and all (Your engine is a little cleaner!) Great work - hope it's still on the road!
S&S carbs can't fit behind the Stock Air cleaner!!
BS!! The back brakes aren't disk!!S/W never made gauges for Harley!!
With a white seat yes
Put the bags on it……
Real nice scoot man… I miss my 72
What kind of Clutch do you have, my 1980 flh finding neutral is impossible.
Stock 5 finger. Mostly okay finding neutral, it's easier to roll into it than find it at a dead stop, definitely does have it's moments.
He said he installed a 5 speed🤦♂️
Awesome bike very nice
The last of Real Harley Davidson’s
1979 with 80'' ? to my knowledge the 80'' came in 1980 and the last 74'' were also in 1980
Nope. 1978 was the first year of the 80, produced simultaneously with the "74ci until 1981.
@@vincentlawler3033 Thanks
one of the worst years for Harley.. AMF.
I love this bike. Can it be bought?
Thanks but not right t now. Maybe at the end of summer if I move onto something else.
@@vincentlawler3033 please stay in touch with me concerning this. Thank you - be safe and happy Shoveling. 😎👍🏽
Boss Hawg .
Would you consider selling the bike?
Greetings from oregon brothers grew up on pans and shovels my fav was 1980 80 made Sturges twice miss it now riding 1990 heritage softail love em
Beautiful ride
Like my pogo seat also. Its like floating on air. If you hit a bump and feel the rebound your way past it.
NICE!!
Nice save and rebuild. The seat on the frame appears not too smooth.
Thank you. the seat is a little harsh but I think the video made it look worse than it is because of the quality of the roads. I changed the bike around a bit and put on a pogo seat. Check out there second video ua-cam.com/video/vVW6SdGG5Jc/v-deo.html
Hahahaha ... the only original here is the presenter ...
Do you have a contact for TRs garage?? Need a shovel redone
Hey Blaine. TR and I just mess about with old bikes to amuse ourselves and he is a great mechanic who knows a lot about older bikes but there's no professional shop.
Wow, That machine looks and sounds just like mine. I have the three into one header on mine. Very nice.
I had a 77 flh when I was a teenager with the police style seat , I got it from a cousin of mine it was 74ci 4sp kickstart probably one of the best ones Ive owned I traded it for a 78 stock flh I wish I hadnt done that Thanks for the videos that bike is awesome inside n out
I have an 81 flh electra glide heritage same wheels you have lowered, hydra glide front end it was a peas and carrots buy back model only 784 made in 81. It looks alot like yours only satin black both are beauties yours is just right mines close even have the same seat ! Thanks for the video my frame engine and trans are numbers matching but the orange and green paint as well as the big seat and bags all gone Thanks again
These are definitely one of the best looking bikes ever made only thing i don't like is being well over 6ft tall myself they seem to be made for guys under 6ft.
I'm over 6 ft and it helps if you install the old style buddy seat. It's quite a bit taller and takes the strain off your legs.
triumph trident
just off the assembly line
Hi Vincent, I am the world's best detailer, however, I may have to pass my crown to you. Beutiful job with that classic. I have a 98 electra glide I purchased used with 152000 miles. I detailed that for days. I now love these bagger bikes. I cant own one like yours because I don't have the mechanical skills to take care of it, so I enjoy looking at your immaculate bike.🙂
Nice looking bike...I've had a '74 Trouble head, I prefer my twin cam...nicely restored bike though...
I like the windscreen on the bike you can see through it and very close to the front of where you are traveling and I like the looks of it also
My Eldorado has a touring seat / windshield / flood lights / and saddle bags. No big deal. At any rate, hope you enjoy your new ride. Ride on brother.
Last of the real potatoes.
Have a 1971 FLH Electra Glide very close to original, today a very rear bike...
TR i'm in search of a bike similar can you be of any help
