Joan Jett live on Late Night With Conan O'Brien
I ask because the original documentaries is 1:33:30
Is this the actual documentary
Phucking lost it when Nancy sang they go on and ON and on when i close My eyes, during these dreams. What a magic performance, stripped from any musical safety net. Raw and true. That TALENT.
Funny. I play a small kit to sound better, or words to that affect, yet look at his current kit, LOL.
I like that Jackie points out that they were kids. All the fighting and drama that happened was when they were kids. She doesn't know what they're like now. They were a group of young girls thrown together into chaos. They were ambitious but didnt really know what they were doing. And they were exploited and manipulated by the people who were supposed to protect them.
Great alt band.
Somebody mentioned that Joan had erratic behavior that caused a lot of people in the audience to leave during this show. Did you notice anything weird about her during this show? Because I can’t imagine what she did that made people leave. Or was that person lying?
@@storybellz no she did nothing wrong and this person must have gotten confused! No one that I saw left early but there were thousands of people there.
@@gretchensfunshop1225 that’s what I figured. It seems like most people who have a problem with her, tend to do a lot of lying. Thanks so much for the reply!
Sucherman, Harrison and Phillips on the same stage. Wow. 😯
Are all you commenters on this video crazy? He's very basic. He's not a "Star". He's a garage level player with his famous dads name...
Slowed it down... fubbed it. Where's the star licks?
26:22 saw her last night
Great simple way of explaining approach to creating your sound. Jason is becoming a Master.
56:18 Fantastic! Jackson, Ray Russell INCREDIBLE GUITAR
I like this DVD Nice Drummers
Bello/Magnifico.🙏✡️✡️✡️✡️✡️✡️
Great drumming 😊 great drummer 👍
1984 my bass playing journey started with STARLICKS AND LOUIS JOHNSON on casette of course, how 80s can you get...lol...😅😅😅..and it was very educational THANKS STARLICKS!
Mr. Jason John Bonham 🥁💪👊🔥⚡😎🤘
not as quik as my dads right foot! working on it', funky! fun',! carmine appice has said', john copied' his triplet feel', on the bass drum.both great! i saw jason in 07 with ufo tight and didnt show off' cool drummer thanks and peace
he looks so much like John Rutsey from Rush lol
He forgot to mention his drumsticks
What a great band! I really enjoyed this documentary. They are true rock legends!!
I say to all the haters on here …. Whether you like Jason or not…. Who’s getting the gig???? And it ain’t because of his dad…. Other wise bakers kids would be big hitters.
Smaller drums, at least to me, seem unfairly maligned. My old kit was a Pearl Forum kit and the rack toms were huge, deep, 12-13” toms. My new DW kit has 10-12” toms which are shallower. In my opinion, the smaller toms seem to be way easier to tune than the bigger ones. And I have a problem finding the perfect tuning for my 13” tom. So yeah, I’m gonna stick with the smaller toms. The floor toms are the same width at 16”, but my DW one is 14” deep. And yet, I think I can get a better sound out of it.
it's hard to grow accustomed to the skill & accuracy of hard-working, talented, drummers (past and present) like Vinnie Colaiuta, Buddy Rich, Joe Morello, Jeff Porcaro, Simon Phillips, Weckl--and 100 other Weckl-wanabees who also play amazing, spectacular, accurate, and musical--and then listen to entertainers like this carry on about musicianship... i'm sorry, but come on dude. his timing (not the rhythms and offbeats, which are fine) is all over the place. his spacing is inconsistent, his hits are often rushed, then lagged coming back to the groove...
He actually said that Phil Collins ISN'T one of the most talented drummers? Different genre sonny boy, but not talented? He's as good as your old man...
Ithink he said even a simple fill like in the air tonight by phil collins who is a most talented drummer . Any drummer knows phil collins was lowkey bad ass back in the day
He has his fathers face and voice..
Jesus Loves You!
DW drums sound like dogshit.
I had to do a double take @ 8:14 when he made that comment about Phil Collins. What complete ignorance.
I think you’re misinterpreting what he’s saying, and Jason wasn’t very clear anyway What I believe he was saying was how Phil, who is an amazing drummer, has utilised effects as a way of enhancing his fills. And here’s an example of a simple fill and how clever use of effects turns it into something memorable and ear-catching! Of a 2014 meeting Jason said “We got together for three weeks and I had an amazing time,” the song of Led Zep’s late John Bonham tells Billboard. “It was an honor to be chosen by one of my real heroes. Other than my dad I would say Phil is probably my No. 2 guy to go to. I”ve been a huge fan since Abacab, and then of course his solo stuff. It was like playing in front of my dad - another moment that felt like you’re playing in front of your dad in the weirdest kind of way. You’re playing in front of your heroes. My wife just kept telling me, ‘Don’t keep looking for approval. He’s hired you. He knows what you can do. Just give him your best.’ I had such a good time with it.”
@@tombstoneharrystudios584I beg your pardon, I actually was in the middle of writing a riposte when I decided to listen back another few times. I agree, you are correct, I initially thought he said "even though he isn't the most talented drummer" but I actually think he says "is" on reflection. In which case, he is out of the woods! :D
✝️💙🌈✨
Freakin' awesome!✝️❤️🌈👩🎤
Wow his voice sounds just like it does today. Great drummer and super cool person.
Black Country Communion is a badass group!! Every album rocks!!
I HAVE THE VHS OF THE 90S........SEE THE SHOW IN THE 98 IN BUENOS AIRES.....TRIBUTE TO ZEPP
La sombra de su padre siempre lo va a acechar. Pero creo que sus trabajos con la banda Bonham en los 80's y sobre todo sus álbumes con Black Country Communion, son su mejor carta de presentación.
Who’s his father again? Good god. We get it. The ppl watching the Sammy/VH tribute with 3 pics of daddy. We won’t forget. Promise
When my dad turned on the juke box he told me to get the crates up from the cellar !
I saw Jason play live with led zeppelin fab four tour in the 90s in Ohio great show
Did you do the same play with led Zeppelin you may have seen him play with the members of led Zeppelin but John Bonham was the drummer for led Zeppelin
Bonham band I am still have the album one of the best bands of the 80s with Jason bohnam on drums
22:30 He didn't even know that there was a magazine called Billboard.
I have a several times Great Grandmother named Elizabeth Dick who married Donald Sym. They were from Perthshire Scotland. I often wonder if I could be related to Patsy Cline's husband Charley Dick and their children. By the time I knew my Grandmother Sym was changed to Sim. I am now 87 years old and I still wonder about it!
@@altheacraig2904 love your story. something to wonder for sure!!
Hilarious funny man and plays exquisite piano
Oh i love from when i was 12 years old- so funny and a great humorous!
Now 2024, and just came across this video. Thanks for putting it on UA-cam. Born in Raymondville, left in 1971 after high school. Had to see the world, turned 19 in Vietnam. Miss the slow quiet life, not enough to leave San Diego. Burger place was The Bearkat, Southern Drive-in, Texas Theater, The Rey Theater, Rio Theater, Tulsa Cafe, the Mecca Cafe by the railroad tracks, Neese Pharmacy, the Chronicle was in small building across the street from HEB, etc, etc....
@@user-ry6oh9xn1u My Grandfather ran the paper there. "El Tiempo"
@@user-ry6oh9xn1u you are very welcome!! Raymondville, my home town.
Send Big Love to Gina!!! ❤
Lita laughing about Jackie's suicide attempt goes to show the type of person she really is. No wonder she lost custody of her kids & they refuse to have their own mom in their lives lmfao you can tell there's something off about her.
Amen! She's twisted! 🥨
Awesome! I especially love the Land O Lakes/Zephyrhills road sign…I’m from Land o Lakes lol! They must’ve been playing the Brass Mug or the Stone Lounge or maybe the Pegasus in Tampa!
