The Standards set by previous USWNT generations, and left to the current generation, played a role in the USWNT's determination to go for the Gold. They needed help from the coaching and they got and more from Emma and her staff. This is really why they won the Olympic GOLD Medal. The current USWNT generation is Part of the GOLD Standard.

Humm , well she has improved our team where out passing is concerned and a little better defense , however if you looked closely at each of the win or go home games ; we could have lost as well as win those games ; So where am I coming from ??? We had a disaster at the WC I think !! And no one is commenting on !! At the WC we had 9 starters , not bench warmers hurt and not playing at those games. For the federation to place us at 6th or 5th place in the world and place Spain #1 because they beat a team , England that never should have been in the finals. It should have been Nigeria which the reffing gave that game away to England ; Should have been a penalty kick for Nigeria with them going to the finals. We saw this game at the quarter finals where Spain won only 1-0 ; But to see Spain almost lose to , and should have lost to Colombia 4-1 but Colombias coach took all of their forwards out of the game and lost it in shootouts only to lose 4-2 to Brazil!!! That tells me they should not have been jumped to #1 in the world. I’ve always thought that the USA has the best talent in the world. But we’ve needed a good coach from Spain or Japan ; Now let’s see how we do in up coming games and against top teams in the world ;,I have no doubt we’ll do good. But a WC will be our test. Do I believe our new coach can bring us there ?? It’s very possible; I’ve got to see a better defense and better tight passing in very tight spaces with better passing out side the tight zones. Id like to see better combination players which humm could be a whole lot better ; But at least we’ve won a gold medal but a lot of very good teams were not there !!Hummm to say, i was very disappointed in the play of how France played and couldn’t win the games they should have won. How about this for a bit of trivia? The three Expresso's scored three goals each (and weighed in with just as many assists) to get the USWNT to the finals. Rodmen scored the winner in the quarter-finals, Smith scored the winner in the semi-finals and Swanson scored the winner in the Final. They could not have spread the goas more evenly if they tried to. Now that's the best example I ever come across of a group of strikers that are right on song (forgetting the fact that they could all pass for real-life sisters all having black Dads and white Mums), lol. And on another note, I am not the biggest fan of the USWNT midfield largely because more dynamic and influential players are waiting for their chance to show what they can do. Rookie Croix Bethune is already in the mix (and rightly so) but it is a significant oversight by Emma Hayes that she has not already noticed the best Rookie in the world. Anyone who has not noticed how good the number one draft pick and the best player for the Utah Royles (leading in assists and goals) is, does not really know their football. Ally Sentnor, who is one of the best players (playing for the worst team) in the NWSL, will become thee stand-out USWNT player from the moment she gets her chance to shine. Yes even out-shinning the amazing Espresso. And Sentnor will not need time to adjust either. Like Lilly Yohanis, she will hit the ground running for her country the same way she has hit the ground running for her club. Corbin Albert, like Ally Sentnor, is in her first season as a professional footballer but the only reason you would choose Albert over Sentnor is because you haven't seen Sentnor play. Sentnor can dribble like Rodman, shoot like Sophia Smith and high press like Lynn Williams. She makes a decision and commits to it i.e. she does not second-guess herself. In addition, she is always switched on. Head's always on the swivel. Her mind never drifts and she never shows any sign of nerves. In her debut game as a professional footballer, 20-year-old Ally Sentnor was easily the best player on the park (that's unheard of), running and scoring from the halfway line one of the goals of the season, just for good measure (check it out). When the world gets to see her play in the best national team (USWNT) and alongside some of the world's best players. Girma, Fox, Dunn, Rodman, Smith and Swanson to name but a few, then and only then will the world agree with me and see what I see.
