@@DRanonDoctorANON69 Daniel, great take, man! I enjoyed it all! Another friend of mine said he couldn’t get past 40, but I told him, I’m patient. I can see where it’s building. There’s the argument of maybe this being a series before a movie. Sure, I get it, but personally, I enjoyed the piece for what it is. I think Costner is excellent in the western genre and I can’t wait to see more Horizon. So unfortunate about Part 2’s delay. The critics haven’t been fair!

@@MrChryz707 respectfully, I disagree! I think the point of the separate stories is that in the next one there will be more overlap. The main goal for everyone is to seek a new life in Horizon. The settlers with Luke Wilson are making their way there. Costner is on the run from the Sykes family. More than likely, it’ll spill over into the town as well. Although the west was huge because of the untamed land, there are grounds for people overlapping at multiple points. It worked for me, but I do respect your opinion Chris. @@MrChryz707 you know, I don’t disagree there. I think it was a little long and I don’t mind 3+ hour flicks. I tell you what really bothered me: How did Sienna Miller fall for Sam Worthington so quickly after her husband was killed? That genuinely was glaring to me

Definitely a different life back then! I think ideals of hard work and survival are part of what built American fundamentals. Makes me wonder if they’ll go as far as touching on the reconstruction era

@@fireprogram I completely agree! It is a completely separate thing. That book I mentioned is showing me a lot of the issues that took place during that time and as a lover of westerns and history, I think it is important for people to see this. Unfortunately, our microwave society has caused films like these to suffer. I stand with KC on people not truly understanding cinema anymore.
