Just a tank, in a park.
Came across this well preserved Leopard Tank in a park at Mt Perry.
Hi, my name is Woody and I live in a little town named Biggenden in Queensland, Australia.
I am married, with adult children and a growing herd of grandchildren.
I like making videos about tools, such as Bahco, Sidchrome, Kincrome, Snap-on, Nepros, Koken, Gedore, Knipex, Wera, Wiha and many others.
I also like to talk about my Triumph America, as well as my old BMW and anything else really. Honda, Harley, Suzuki, KTM, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Gas Gas, Norton, Indian, Velocette, Vincent, Brough, I love them all.
Occasionally, I like to try new types of beer, whisky or Rum and anything else I come across that is interesting.
When I'm not making content, I watch Cutting Edge Engineering, Project Farm, Yammie Noob, Fortnine, Mighty Car Mods, Donut, Techmoan and all types of tool, car and motorcycle restoration channels.
I hope you find something interesting in my content. Please leave a comment if you do.

Birthday Special! Celebrating with my Father-in-law and Poets Lager
Thanks for the video. AU2 wiring seems backwards compared to the OEX globe socket. After some trial and error. The correct wiring is: 1. AU2 green to sockets brown-whitestripe. 2. AU2 brown to sockets blue. 3. AU2 black to sockets brown My globes would only go in one way for me (which is intentional). Make sure to disconnect your battery first and electrical tape around connections, or you'll blow a fuse.
I like yer bike.....I like the solo seat look.
Thanks, I like your knife collection!
Well done on the 500 subscribers Woody, great achievement 👏
Thanks mate, it's taken a while but this is just a hobby and I do struggle sometimes.
very helpful thanks! Good to see how simple it is to pull apart the clamps to fit through.
You're welcome! Glad to help.
As a plumber, these have a place:). Thanks for the video
Always good to get a different perspective. Thanks for the comment.
Ive recently got the big set and have found the spanners round off bolts because of the ridges that are meant to help on rounded bolts. Did you have a similar problem?
Yes, and I found they were difficult to get the open end on also. I ended up returning the set as it started to rust very quickly.
Needs pressure on the clutch by means of the clutch lever and spring, which is mounted in the right cover. Goes through the motions but nothing selects (with the exception of maybe 1 gear change) with the cover off. Probably needs freeplay adjustment too. These are simple systems but take a little getting used to.
Thanks for your reply!
Does it work with laptop? Without an extra piece?
That will depend on your laptop. It has a usb a connection, if your laptop has usb c you will need an adapter.
Once you need it, it will be worth a whole lot more ;) Anything worth doing, is worth doing well, even if it seems to have no value before you did it.
I have used it several times and am glad of the effort I put in!
Hi....do you think your new Triumph is as good as the old ones....quality and craftmanship ?
That is a loaded question! Whenever someone says “that’s not a real Triumph”, I say “ if you mean it’s not by a manufacturer who was outclassed in the world market 40 yrs ago, no it’s not. However, as it is built by a manufacturer who is keeping up with modern technology and is still a player in the world market, I would argue it is. Plus, it starts and stops. “ Motorcycles are not what they once were, a one model does everything affair. If I wanted to go fast, I would buy a fast bike. I think of this as a work of art I can ride around on. I find the quality to be very good, and anyone who owned an older Triumph ( As my father did) will tell you that they weren’t comfortable or reliable and most had saddle bags to put the parts that fell off in.
@@WoodyMotorcycleEnthusiast My first street bike was a 78 bonneville T140E...it was a good bike...I did carry tools with me....and extra spark plugs and contacts...just to be on the safe side.
😯 53 !? 😥
Yes, it was expensive, but I have used it to keep important documents secure whilst transporting, and also it is great when it is raining.
Just rub a little oil on them or just use them they will rust if they sit there bud. 🤦
I have a Sidchrome set that has been in the boot of the car for over ten years and only sees the light of day every two or three years and it is in perfect condition. This was an issue with the chroming on one piece. The rest of the set may have been fine.
@WoodyMotorcycleEnthusiast yeah that's cause it's a midrange brand🤦 so what if tools rust anyways they still work
JUST assembled mine...instructio wwere usless.
Yeah, pretty crap, hope you worked it out!
I went to start my Speedmaster after a winter lay-up and petrol poured out everywhere, it's flooded the airbox with fuel and now I'm here learning how to remove it. I thought it might be simple but I'm going to have to strip the back end out completely.
I am having a ( I think ) carb issue, and am about to remove it all again to rebuild them. I am trying to find another airbox as well.
Japanese quality 👌👌👌 Mate have you seen the new Milwaukee long pliers?? They are on my to get list shortly 👍
No, but I'm going to check them out now!
@@WoodyMotorcycleEnthusiast What did you think of them woody?
@@Jocko662 they look pretty good!
Yet to own any tools by bahco eventually I will get something 👍🏻🇦🇺😎
Totally worth it!
Good Job! The VX3 is a good chain!
I never would have got it on without your help!
Is the process much different for the front springs? Thanks for the video.
Yes, as the front springs are on the strut. It depends whether you are just replacing the springs, or the whole strut. To replace the springs, you will need spring compressors and it is quite dangerous if you don't know what you are doing.
Good to hear you spent a little bit more on a decent one. How's the new job treating you?
Thanks @Jocko662 The bloke I bought this from obviously had money, but he had bought it from a mate of his who needed help.( So the story goes.) The bike had the cheapest ebay battery, a non o-ring chain and Shinko tyres. I've changed the battery and the chain, I'm too stingy to change the tyres until they wear out!
Job is great actually, the only bad part is the commute and when I have to be there at 5:00am. I got a tank of bad fuel this week and had to coax the Triumph home on one cylinder yesterday. Spent this morning draining the tank and carbs and changing spark plugs. Seems ok now.
@@WoodyMotorcycleEnthusiast That's good mate I'm glad to hear be careful in the dark on the bike 😬😬😬 Shame about the fuel mate that's not good. I try avoid all old servos for the fact of the integrity of their ageing tanks.
I saw this product today (April 2024) for $30 in the post office and thought that the Australian Geographic label would promise a good product. I too was disappointed. For starters they should put a diagram labelling the parts into the kit. The tripod was useless as it is unstable with the weight of the mangifier attached to it. Trying to align the phone camera lense whilst manoeuvring the phone holder off to the side was annoying. You would need to mount this onto a proper stable camera tripod. You have to firstly put your camera phone onto full zoom, make sure that the back portion of the magnifier is pushed well into the unit (as it slides about 5 mm backwards), adjust the tiny focus wheel and you end up with such a small area that is actually magnified that this item is probably quiet useless. Yes, you could use the video feature of your phone to zoom in on a distant item (and use the telephoto magnifier to bring that item a little closer) but you'd be better off buying a decent camera. I might try to use it when I go out painting in the landscape to see if I can get closer images of distant subject matter, but I am thinking that this item will end up at the op-shop pretty soon.
@crystalheart5877 Yes, I expected the Australian Geographic endorsement to carry some weight and was likewise disappointed.

I would have never thought to use the air to help it on like you did nice one mate I have learnt something today 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Glad I could help
if you make smaller videos and want more veiws, make reels or shorts. that will help
Thanks for the advice.
Bought one a few weeks ago, threw it away within a week, totaly to figity and quite useless..
Yes, I found it very disappointing. Expected more with Australian Geographic endorsement.
Look at a threaded screw, flip it over, and look again...
Hey Woody, I may be wrong, but it think the Bahco wrench threads were put in upside down. In the states, we call those Crescent wrenches although Crescent is a brand… anyhow, most have a screw pin that holds the thumb thread piece in place. Usually a flathead pin. Have you tried removing the pin, flipping the thread piece over and seeing if that changes anything? It also could have been done at factory when the tolerances were wrong so they may have been forced to do it that way to get it to close all the way. Perhaps?
It's just they way they do it.
That was a quick flip mate. Did you make anything after all the fluffing about?
Yeah mate, I sold it for $300. I try to do the right thing and only ask what I would be prepared to pay. Had plenty of interest in it.
@@WoodyMotorcycleEnthusiast That’s good 👍🏻👍🏻😎🇦🇺
came to this video from the facebook marketplace listing. I used to own one of these and although i never opened the clutch i did have the left side of the engine apart multiple times. It is possible that the shift fork (found behind the flywheel) is disconnected or broken meaning the engine will not select gear.
Thanks for that.
Step 1, powerwasher action.
Yeah, you’re right, that is absolutely what I should have done. We have only recently moved and I have not set up my Karcher yet.
Finally! Someone who knows how to oil a chain!!!!!
I think it can be a fair indicator of how well the bike has been maintained. If you see a bike with a rusty chain. you have to wonder how much love it has had.
Just an FYI mate and don’t take it that I’m telling you how to do things on your channel but if you like and heart all comments on your channel it’s helps with the UA-cam algorithm 😉😉😁😁😎😎👍🏻👍🏻🇦🇺🇦🇺 Just wanting to see your channel grow! 👍🏻

Hi Yul, good to hear from you. Had a bit of a tumultuous last six months, had to move at short notice, bought a house we had never seen other than pics on internet.
