It took me a long time to figure out that acknowledging an idea makes all the difference. Also in my opinion not every decision needs to be shared and voted on, there has to be a balance of independence in the relationship also.
Hey brother! Exactly. It takes two independent people to make a healthy marriage. It seems like it works well when there is an understanding of who has what responsibilities, and you trust your spouse to handle theirs.

That’s why my husband and I who by the way make a combined income of 54,000.00 a year and we still have to pay about 10,000. Dollars a year.
It's a crime! I am always hunting for loopholes in the system. The more of the rules you know, the better you can play the game! If only we had some say in how our tax dollars were actually utilized, maybe it could be justified.
I make about 200k a year , last year dropped income tax from 65k to 6k , lots and lots of “deductions” after taxes establishing an LLC, although it seems like a good amount, I doesn’t get you far here ,I live in commiefornia where they would tax you to breathe
Yep, I know that game well. Lived many years in CA and have been self employed for a while now. Having even a Self Proprietorship can be a big help in allowing deductions. Ever read "The Sovereign Individual"? Lays out some great concepts of a subscription style government, where you fund the parts you wish to be a part of. 🤓 Pipe dreams...
I heard that. I was audited once and I got really lucky. That year my books were kept in immaculate conditions or it would have been bad.
They got a taste of the money and said I think they’ll keep paying it if we tell them they have to. From that day forward we have.😢😂
Yep, got to keep people down and disgruntled so they can pull more wool over our eyes. Looking forward to seeing some positive changes in the coming years, perhaps under a new administration. 🫡

Ah, the merry days of dancing in the street with the firelight in our eyes; so many memories! It is wild to think back and consider all of the obstacles overcome, the lives led, the lessons learned. There are reasons for everything; in response to the guy on the right assuming theres no reason for ‘destroying self.’ You have a small perspective of the nature of the journey of an individuals life. A soul has to hit rock bottom in order to see the true depths of darkness. Once a soul confronts the ultimate fright of rock bottom, they finally find gratitude for what they have, and the impetus not to squander their lives any longer. True words. Im not a big fan of your buddy on the right Ross. Hes a defeatist. He thinks hes so smart, hes abhorrently arrogant, clearly. Drop him. You need a parter partner. Hes dimming your light Ross. To your last question: I feel that social anxiety (fear of judgement is a big player here) has contributed a large amount to my lack of church fellowship; not to absolve personal guilt It’s led to me not going to church anymore after a Darwin-->Jesus massive spiritual revival/awakening, and it led to me almost completely falling away from God in exchange for resentment for my life situation and escapism I still haven’t gone to church in almost exactly a year now, however I really am trying to build back towards the living relationship I had with God in the past, and it’s definitely working :)
Church and religion can be great for community and to feed your spirit, but ultimately we will unlock our true selves as we draw nearer to Him. Like you said, it is all about the living relationship with God. He wants to share every moment with us. As I have started to realize this, I want nothing more than to have Him as my best friend! He is always speaking to you, always has time for you, and will always point you in the right direction if you step out of the way and let Him lead.

Yes He does! And He loves you too. I heard something recently from a mentor that really resonated with me. God does not love each of us equally, He loves us uniquely! We all are made in His image and have different gifts and abilities that will grow to their fullest as we walk with Him.

To say the least, today marked a long-overdue change in my life with my relationship with God Today is also the first time a Fellowship-type podcast episode has been recommended to me. Accident? I think not!!! 💛
It is amazing what happens when we seek His voice and His call over our lives. I have been blown away by the positive changes and personal miracles I have experienced after finally figuring out how to surrender.

So now I can worry about not living in my true self? That doesn't make sense, friend. That's a way to trip out even more. I have a little prayer inside my head I say whenever I'm too much in my head (insecure). Serenity prayer or another easy to remember, automatic response.
Your true self can only be found through surrender! I still struggle on a daily basis, but have had intense moments of peace once I finally learned to get out of the way of myself. Prayer is an awesome tool! Journaling helps immensely. I have journaled for years and recently upgraded my journaling game by deliberately writing my prayers down.

@BreedloveTree Irs not that I don't believe in it or something like that... there's just WAY too much to lose if the word DIVORCE ever comes into play. And sadly for us men, we usually get the short end of the stick. I understand marriage has financial benefits and stuff, but it's going to cost you a lot more when she gets bored. Then again, that's IF she gets bored haha there are plenty of couples out there that make it work... I'm just not one to trust people. Best wishes for you though!! So many marriages get given up on, and it is all part of "The Plan". So much is at work to divide us these days, in all arenas, and especially in marriage. As long as love exists or existed at some point in a marriage, there is always hope. As men, I believe it is our duty to set the pace of the relationship. This is a new realization for me, and allowed me to move into my role as husband with conviction. I read the book, "Love and Respect" and my eyes were opened. We are called to be leaders, and that may look like the short end of the stick sometimes! But real value and fulfillment, at least for me, comes through servant leadership. It is hard to get into, as I have lived so much of my life in denial and from a selfish standpoint. Lastly, living a life and making decisions out of fear is something I have decided to stop doing. This life is a gift, and we can shape it into what we want with the right perspective.

That is part of it! I always struggled with worshiping Christ...I don't like the idea of floating around and singing all the time, the way that media typically portrays worship. But there is so much more to it. Worship is honoring what we were made to be, the individual skills and gifts He has blessed us with. Passions were placed inside of us for a reason...
