No he just sang the song how he felt it. With his usual brilliance. You're right. It's truly monumentally brilliant this performance. He's telling us all about himself from the moment he sits down in the chair looks up, collects himself and suddenly - you can see it in his eyes - he's back there again. Remembering the incredible love he felt for one woman, only once, which wasn't to be, a long long time ago. It's a brave song I think. Thanks for your comment. Bang on the nail Pal.

I feel a lot like this. Sinatra is the only one who can make me feel what I'm feeling is really happening. After I listen to this song I forget about how I'm feeling.

I don't how anyone can say elvis was the greatest singer or entertainer than Frank Sinatra himself. Nobody ever sounded this amazing with a smoothing golden voice like the chairman of the board.

If there's a rock singer than reminds me of Frank it's certainly Jim Morrison. I imagine while listening to Jim that if Frank was a rock singer he'd sound like Jim.

Didn't know about Ronald Reagan. Always picture him on a horse. That reminds me of Jesse Jackson shouting 'I'd rather have Roosevelt in a wheelchair than Reagan on a horse!' Can't picture LBJ in a Dual Ghia. On his ranch he had Lincoln convertibles and aides would run alongside pouring more Cutty Sark into his ice-filled tumbler. As for Frank, his first A Man and His Music DVD opens with him driving up to the studio at night, walking in and belting out I've Got You Under My Skin.

Thanks for turning me onto the Dual Ghia. Just now I read the Wikipedia article on it. This amazes me: "Ronald Reagan owned one, which he lost in a high-stakes poker game with then-President Lyndon Johnson, who kept the car for several years." That to me is as wild as George Harrison hanging out with Frank Sinatra.

Right. I can't understand Van Morrison some times and not all my albums have the lyrics on the sleeve. Which reminds me of the anonymous comment a black musician made when asked if Michael Bolton or Van had more soul. He replied 'Well, at least Michael Bolton has a voice. I've never been able to listen to Van Morrison.' Jim Morrison admired Frank and he enunciated on ballad songs like Run With Me. But Frank destroyed the radio in his Dual Ghia when he heard Light My Fire too often,a drug song

I wonder why there's captions below to give the lyrics. Sinatra appreciated enunciation. He pronounced the words of the lyrics to the songs he sang very clearly. Now in rock music one certainly needs written words to help one understand what is being sung. But not with Frankie.
