Tate Performance is a family that races based in Wisconsin. Tate Performance consists of Jim Tate Sr, the patriarch of the team, and crew chief of Jim Tate Jr, driver of the #27 hobby stock. Jim Jr also acts as crew chief for driver of the #71 hobby stock Jamie Tate. Jim Jr and Jamie are husband and wife and have two boys Ransom and Jensen. Ransom also started racing in 2020 on a kid kart. We will take you along the for the ride of our crazy family race team.

Ransom Tate got to visit another new track on June 23, 2023 by taking his INEX Bandolero to Golden Sands Speedway. We had a late night after weather and a rain delay then had an interesting feature dodging a couple wrecks.

It is a bandolero. Look up INEX Series based out of North Carolina for more info. It's a sanctioned series out of there that runs all over the country.

Cost seems to vary a bit depending on region. In our area they are extremely popular. They are in the $5000-$7500 depending on condition and what all it comes with.

This is a series that runs all over the nation. We are racing in WI with them.
Tate performance can advise what radios that your child is using in small race car???
We can only use two way radios during practice. It was an old set from when Jim ran Late Models. For the races he uses a racing electronics raceceiver which is a one way for the track to talk to drivers.

Not with this specific car in our area. They have another style called a legend that is still small that adults can run. Otherwise we have several other class options for adults

Ransom has a flat kart, wing kart and bandolero. This next season main focus will be the bandolero. Jensen just has the kid kart. Then mom and dad each have a hobby stock and Dad has a sport mod.

There is one track that they average 80mph. Our regular local track they are in the mid 50s for average speed.
