PS: You may recognize Allison Janney from the 2006 movie, Hairspray as Ms. Prudy Pingleton. No mistaking her voice! She is singing the lead in the song "Around Here".
Why is there so much whooping and hollering and cheering going on among the audience? It’s a recent phenomenon that is incredibly annoying. I can’t even hear their singing - the lyrics are completely drowned out by the hollering. It was the same thing at Funny Girl on Broadway. This is a theater play, not WWF Wrestling. You can show your enjoyment by strong applause not by all those ridiculous woooooo-hoooooooooos!!!!!!
can't believe i haven't seen a comment about how GOOD this hart is. He did such a good job being a comical villain, that despite how awful the character himself is, i look forward to when he's onstage. kudos!
Our show opens next week and im exited to run sound for it!! This musical means sonmuch ti me as a fan of dolly parton Absolutely in love with thebcostumes as well
If you're going to sneak a camera into the theater to (illegally) film a show, then for god's sake film the show and stop dicking around! Especially when recording such a deliciously wacked-out, wacky and delightful musical! Dolly's songs are wonderful!
It's brilliant to see this as am doing the musical next month. Will be playing the role of Dick, Judy's ex-husband as well as one of the office workers. Am dead excited
I think the biggest atrocity was that this absolute legendary epic musical was only on Broadway for a few months. It was packed with big laughs, excellent characters and actors, and amazing songs. It makes no sense that it ended so soon.
So half of that was just audience clapping and screaming over the actors. Gotta love broadway

Omg, lol, a high school production would not have a guy walking across in the opening with a woody, lol! Glad someone caught the Broadway version. :)

High schools need to be more comfortable doing mature material as it's written.
I’m doing this for my senior show and I’m so excited!!!
1:30:41 I'm playing Hart and I'm so sad Mti doesn't give rights for this song like how is it not in the script! 😅
Ahhhh! I was just cast as Judy at my school and I’m so happy that I can watch it!
This is such a great show and highly produced story of a beloved classic!!! Love it.
If you can’t record a pirated performance and keep your phone down and only have black screens for half the show, then don’t try.
These scene transitions are flawless. Great work production management.

I will always be amazed at how similar Allison Janney sounds to Lily Tomlin, Violet’s actress in the original movie.

Can the audience shut up.
What a rude audience, screaming over the songs so nobody can hear them.
Was this recorded at the final performance?
I was just cast as Missy Hart in a production of this show and I am so happy I love this show so much!
Wow great audience and lively show. Could you list the cast please?
Alison dress as snow white

You have to watch out for ushers.
My school is doing this show
Same here
omg sammeee
Me too!
She sounds just like Dolly
Yes she does! 🥰
She sounds better, like a combination of Reba and Trisha Yearwood.

Ros - Hart to Hart was the best!! I saw it in LA during its pre-Broadway showing and it was the most loved song of the show! People loved it!

Horrible recording....whoever did this video didn't pay attention and kept putting the phone or camera down so there's a bunch of blackouts
I think they were trying to hide the fact they’re recording from ushers
It’s the only recording so be happy that we have it
1:12:45 it’s the audience going mental for me 😂
We are doing this in the spring and I am so excited! I’m playing Violet and I’m so pumped!
my BEST friend Abigail is in this video, she plays Judy!
Gworl that is not Abigail
This is fantastic. Much prefer it to the updated version in every way. The cast is exceptional

How'd it go?
@@avbartholomew Went brilliantly thanks, the audiences loved it

This show is such an incredibly good time. I hate that it didn't last very long on Broadway. We NEEEEEED a 9 to 5 Revival!

A lot of epic musicals close after a few months. A majority of them actually, especially recently.
From what I remember, it was cost. It cost a lot of money to put the show on. Had they gone cheaper, I definitely think it would have lasted
Same problem happened in Australia. Only a Month in each major city and then gone. I was devastated I couldn’t go again
I agree. My high-school is actually doing this show for our spring musical and I'm so excited and honored!
I dont think its condoned to inspire audiences away from a 9-5..............
