I teared up watching this. Not because of the amazing empathy that has been shown, but by imagining myself being in that man's position. Life is short and we need to spend adequate time with our loved ones before either of us leaves.

@AA-mr3uy ITS OKAY WHEN WE GET BAD NEWS BECAUSE WE KNOW THAT THIS EARTH IS NOT OUR HOME BUT IS JUST A DRESS REHERSAL FOR OUR ETERNAL DESTINATION. GOD LOVES US SO MUCH THAT HE GAVE HIS LIFE FOR US SO THAT WE COULD SHARE ETERNITY WITH HIM IN HEAVEN. IF WE TAKE THIS PRECIOUS GIFT THE LORD HAS PROVIDED AND THROW IT IN THE TRASH, WE ARE ETERNALLY DAMNED. GOD SHOWED HIS LOVE UNTO US BY WHILE WE WERE YET SINNERS CHRIST DIED FOR US. ROMANS 5. GOD SACRIFICED HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON TO TAKE THE PUNISHMENT THAT WE DESERVE. WE CAN NOW WE MADE RIGHT BY JESUS' SACRIFICE. HE LOVES US SO VERY VERY MUCH AND IS SO MERCIFUL AND KIND AND FORGIVING. PLEASE ACCEPT THIS FREE GIFT. JESUS SAID HE IS THE ONLY WAY TO GOD ALMIGHTY. GOD BLESS YOU THIS CHANNEL BELOW HAS TRULY BEEN INSTRUMENTAL IN HELPING ME FIND MY FAITH AND STICK CLOSE TO THE LORD. I PRAY IT MAY IT BE A BLESSING TO YOU AS WELL, GOD BLESS youtube.com/@LivingWaters?si=ABkSnk_4LdoID3nM

You wouldn’t give this type of news over the phone? Unless if relatives are unable to get to hospital…

Excellent job. Respectful, patient, kind, open, allowing family choices to give them a measure of control or say, assisting them with their biggest request for their loved one. What a difficult task but this was done with such grace. Thank you! A retired nurse.

V useful demonstration of the importance of pace and use of silence in conversations like these. And above all else, honesty with sensitivity. 😢
