I saw it in my small town (pop 4,500). As a person that has NO friends that hare metal heads it was amazing to see other people that liked Sabaton from my town. Made me feel less alone.

Saw him in Loveland last week! He is the epitome of a Heavy Metal fan. They look intimidating and scary but they’re the kindest most pure human beings out there. I took a funny photo of him that captures this metaphor perfectly, a big buff man wearing doomsday gear playing a hello kitty guitar hahaha

New album is awesome. Hope they come play a show in Sacramento/Roseville, CA.

I do kind of get why King's X has struggled commercially, but it was never their fault. They were always a square peg in a round hole as it were; a bit esoteric and proggy for mainstream, edgy and heavy like Alice in Chains (for example) but...what, too nice? Not angry enough? And of course, I think there were a lot of question marks about the band, mainly having to do with the Christian background of the guys, a decidedly "uncool" thing to be according to mainstream audiences, despite the band insisting that they weren't a Christian band. And then they were ostracized by the very same Christian community because I suppose they weren't Christian enough. As dUg philosophically explained himself, they've always done it their way. Atlantic didn't know how to market them, their management screwed them over in a lot of ways (and on that note, why in hell would would their manager book a tour with ACDC knowing how brutal that was going to be? Surely a management fail-there were better options available), and I guess when you have a band of three humble virtuoso nice-guys that are in it for the music, it was anathema to the typical heroin-and controversy-addled bands of the day, any of whom they could blow away with ease. Having said all that, I also am confident their music will endure and history will eventually vindicate them, as is true of all the best artists throughout time. Long Live King's X! 🤘
