This is the UA-cam home for Yo Paulie Music led by Paul Croteau. YPM was founded based on the slogan "Creating grooves, setting moods," and strives to deliver authentic music in a variety of genres. In the past year alone, music produced by YPM has been placed in more than 60 television series across dozens of networks in dozens of countries; genres most often used are trap, jazz, tension and comedy. Oh snap! Suno drops the mic in its official lawsuit response.
Переглядів 1,4 тис.3 місяці тому
Suno lawyers officially responded to the record companies law suit, and dropped the mic on their lawyers. Suno admits to using some copyrighted material, but repeatedly claims fair use (and I agree). It then lists multiple flaws in the plaintiff's accusations, citing several historical precedents that support Suno's position. Whether or not a jury gets it right is the real concern, but from a f...

I want to hear all the time, not just when i record, on playback too
Didn't work.
Great video Paul. Thank you for your knowledge
Thank you
Changed nothing. What is other problems??
David Sanborn was an exceptional person!
Michael Brecker pitch band licks😍
U trippin. These presets sound great and very authentically vintage. You seem like you're hating.
Ha. Am I trippin, or am I illin? I just didn't find much to get excited about in this synth. I've got a ton of analog patches, Omnisphere has probably the best and largest collection of truly authentic analog synth patches out there. Check it out if you can. Anamorph didn't offer me anything new worth getting excited about. Lots of the same ol same ol.
@ so Omnisphere has better analog patches? I've never messed with it but i know its used by a LOT of producers. Maybe i'll check it out.
Have you examined his side gig on Sleeping Gypsy?
This interesting I have never heard this kind of dystonia. I have a condition that causes involuntary movements and it is called Functional Neurological Disorder. But my condition acts up even when i am not doing certain tasks and stress and lack of sleep can make it worse. It makes my body move in painful and awkward ways randomly. I do have calm moments but the violent episodes come back with vengeance.
Great analysis, thanks for sharing
I have the OPPSITIE PROBLEM, I CAN HEAR MYSELF I DON'T WANT TO, INPUT MONITORING IS TURNED OFF ON LOGIC, AND IN UAD CONSOLE UNDER CONTROL ROOM AND HP. I HAVE IT "MIX". OTHERWISE U CAN'T EVEN HEAR THE BEAT OR ANYTHING PLAYING BUT I CAN HEAR MYSELF, HOW DO I GET IT SO I CAN'T HEAR MYSELF WITH THIS APPOLO AND LOGIC PRO?!?!
Judging from Steve Gadd's reaction at Tee Bag, this recording is likely from the early days of the Japan tour. The classic Smokin' in the Pit was recorded at the end of this tour, and Gadd's drumming seems to have made a huge leap forward in that short period of time.
Great video guys. Just finished reading one of deans books- kept me going in periods of doubt. I’m a Taxi member too and what a great company, delivering me some good opportunities.
Gosh, I miss him. Had the pleasure of hearing him live just once in 1999. Great upload! Thank you!
I like to do genre switch covers.
The 2 minute generations in Udio are generally not good
Yeah. It’s disappointing when you let it know what you didn’t like in the track and it’s still spits out the same mistakes repeatedly
I have a multi genre authored music channel called SoundCrafted. Enjoy
Check out the original video. The drummer actually set Patrick and the others up. Listen to the phrase before.
I would respectfully disagree. To say to anyone who has an issue with it, "They are just reacting on feelings" is false. Yes maybe a large portion, but not all. Your point on copyright, I do agree, but Udio totally takes hands on instrument out of it. And before someone says what do you think "Computer Music was" Is that not a form of AI. Yes, it was. But there was a well known limit that still allowed and even pushed for human creativity with hands on instruments. With Udio, all you need to know is how to do is spell. Yep, no instruments needed! Imagine a future world where no one will need to know what a Analog Synth is or what it even looks like.
Crazy stuff, Paulie. I just learned something new today thanks to this video!
Thanks for watching, my friend!
can admit though now i am afraid of using it. was gonna use it as an intro to my welcome youtube page but afraid it may get taken down even though i wouldn't monetize that video ever
If music is important to you, pay someone to do it.
can't help but wonder if this why their song quality changed. the first few songs i downloaded from there were great now all i get out is exactly what i put in stayed back to me with music tunes.
Works for getting rid for channel 2+, but doesnt work for channel 1. Playing at channel 2 will trigger channel 1 wtf
You need to be wearing a cape from now on! Thank you!!!
Hi Paul, I was with Taxi for a few years, so I can throw my tuppence with in here. All of what Paul has said here is true, but misses the point in my opinion. Its not a scam, so lets just say that now. Is it value for money...depends on where you are with your writing. Taxi has managed to create a system whereby the members feel like they have achieved a win just for getting a forward passed them. I fell for this illusionary sense of achievement but after a while started to realise it wasnt amounting to a whole hill of beans. I can underpin Paul's point that the screeners dont get it right all the time. In fact, I would say that there is a real mixed bag of quality amongst the screeners. The head screener is a decent fellow and knows his stuff, but unlike Paul my experience is the head screener may agree theres nothing wrong with the track, but the deadline has gone. Some of the briefs are for a specific project and are obvious by the written criteria, some/majority seem to be just generic space fillers for libraries - these are the ones you may/may not ever get a call back from as they simply arent for any specific project (certainly nothing you cant achieve with a reelcrafter reel link and a mail to a library). There is the usual forcefield of defences used at this point online if you see posts elsewhere - your material isnt good enough (one of my tracks that was returned by Taxi which I had just been approached by a publisher for, who commissioned an album of that genre from me) - not prolific enough - well, this is true of course...the more you submit, the more chance of a forward, but thats just obvious and how prolific can you be? - Production quality is low - also true but often if you check out the forward blog you will wonder how some of them get a forward when yours was rejected. Summary...it's not just about researching and doing yourself v Taxi. The libraries are already there and if you have a showreel of a certain genre, why slog it out trying to get passed the gatekeeper Taxi, just send an email direct to the publisher. In summary its not a scam, but its probably a business model that thrives on return business, which if you were getting publishing deals left right and centre you wouldnt have time to spend with Taxi listings- so its slightly at odds with itself. Who would I recommend Taxi to - if you havent ever written to brief before and need some practice.
Generative AI music will replace you and yet you are on the side of corporate tech giants like Spotify and Suno who clearly dont give a fuck about you. Good luck with that.
Someone's sucking the old Spotify D
Quite enjoyed this vid tbf. In fact I actually bought both vespertone and anamorph because of your playing (in parts, particularly the last ten or so patches) and another video on vespertone because, despite your negative review (respect your opinion, this isn’t a dig at all) I believe I can use (and have used) at least half a dozen or so sounds, which, for the money I paid, is defo worth it. Thanks for the post dude 👊
Oh and I forgot to say, the patch ‘understated radiance’ is one of my favourites, and you played it for less than three seconds 🤣🤣🎹
very useful tutorial man tnx. God bless you
Thank you!!! Been struggling for a while now with this. FINALLY fixed 🙏
The legal argument that a tool that can generate pre-existing works is therefore breaching copyright is absolutely laughable. A guy about 15 years ago or more already did a website that hosted every melody in existence through a generative recursive algorithm. Same shit as the Monkey typewriter website.
AI music is very good for what it is. However, the overall sound quality is still absolute garbage tier, compared to professionally made or recorded tracks. I don't mind listening to AI music for the memes as it has some very good novelty to it. However, youtube keeps pushing to me mixes into my discovery queue that are AI music, and its very irritating, as I have to keep changing it. It'll be interesting to see how it is in 10 years. Also you describe the piano as realistic sounding, yet there are clearly artifacts present that massively distort the quality like at 15:40 that gives it almost a half organ sound. 100% you'd know that its AI made.
I was about to return my nt1 signature and audient id14 but I found you and I fixed it
Check out his TSX live stage💜
Easy, thank you
🩶🐾
Thanks for the transcription! I transcribed it to Alto Saxophone. I switched the time signature to 6/8 and made an edit to the rhythm in the first, second, and last measures.
How did i only find this now… non of the ‘comment sync, and ill send it to u for 1000 dollars’. Very informative stuff
So it's just modal interchange ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Nope.
I couldn’t be happier with how this arrangement turned out ❤
This is an incredibly cool interpretation. This is what jazz is all about. Bravo!
Thank you Russ!!
mine still not working
🩶💿🎵🎙️
Really Thank you!! you made my fucking day! thanks thanks thanks!
Fact is, Taxi is only interested in cornpop; the kind of obvious drivel someone with poor musical taste likes. Anyone a bit edgy, a bit left of centre, anything experimental is not suitable for them and they will reject it. Better than charging $5 to keep the volume down, they should ask for auditions. Anyone middle of the road accepted, people either who are out of tune, cannot write a song/music or edgy artists would be rejected and save themselves money.
If "humanity needs humility", so does the music industry. ;)
Great video!! Thank you!!!
Thanks for hanging out with us!
As a songwriter I have actually found Ai incredibly helpful and enabled be to pivot my music business to be my own label. It has helped when I have not been able to hire vocalists or most recently when I sustained a vocal injury still in need of healing. Given I have people dependent on me to put food on the table it goes a lot way in keeping to workflow going
