I got a life lesson from my photo for the 52 Frames Challenge - Transportation
Переглядів 130Місяць тому
This isn't my typical video, where I had more of a life epiphany than a photo lesson. I took to the streets of Dubai, which is commonly known as Supercar Valley, but ended up with the complete opposite.
I struggled with the food photography illusion of levitation for my 52frames challenge.
Переглядів 207Місяць тому
This week's 52Frames challenge was levitation. I tried my hand at creative food photography but struggled quite a bit. In the same week, I took a photo I've failed at before while taking an unplanned opportunity to its fullest. Photographing city lights in Dubai.
Переглядів 1602 місяці тому
My two 52Frames challenges were "Blue Hour" and "Beautiful View." So, I decided to photograph the best version of Dubai: its city lights. I photographed a newly built Mosque close to our apartment and tried my hand at a panorama on a hot and humid night. The Panorama was taken from Dubai's Palm of the Dubai Marina all the way to Ain Dubai. Tertius, my husband, also assisted me with some of the ...
I got so lucky with my AMAZING photos for the "Rule of thirds" 52 Frames Challenge.

I left the very open topic of "rule of thirds" until the last minute and got so lucky with the amazing results. I decided to make the most of the stunning photos my husband got me and try my hand at droplet photography. Considering it was all done indoors with no special equipment, I am in awe of the results. 0:00 Intro 0:30 Planning 1:36 Concept 2:14 Tips & Tricks 3:36 The shoot 5:52 Photo Res...
I photograph one of the largest Nike stores for my 52Frames Distortion Challenge.

Dubai Mall's HUGE Nike store has the most amazing storefront. I used this for my distortion photo challenge, where I captured reflections from the outside as well as some of the store's funky interior.
Photography in an Aquarium for the water theme of 52Frames.
Переглядів 682 місяці тому
This week, I visited an aquarium to take a fine-art-inspired photo for the 52Frames theme of water. I struggled more than anticipated with challenges such as low light and primarily finding my focus with all the distortions of the curved glass and water.
52 Frames - Photographing Everyday Objects
Переглядів 10 тис.2 місяці тому
I've combined two challenges (water and shape with light) into this video. For both of these photos, I used my Macro lens with basic at-home setups. Apart from my camera, lens, and tripod, I didn't use any specialized equipment and still managed to get a high-key and low-key photo worthy of my approval.
52 Frames - Triangular composition from a moving car

I wanted to use leadinglines for my triangular composition challenge for this week's 52 Frames challenge. My husband drove me around the streets of Dubai so I could capture long-exposure photos of the city while in a moving car.
52 Frames - Photograph a Song Lyric & Bonus
Переглядів 713 місяці тому
This week's challenge was to listen to some music and photograph a song lyric. I spent quite some time creating a playlist, shooting the photo, and editing. I also added two bonus challenges at the end. 52Frames - Phone Photography

My weekly photo challenge for this week was to take a photo using only my phone. I visited the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library for a photo walk using my iPhone. I took the "mobile" concept even further by editing on my iPad instead of my regular desktop setup. 0:00 Intro 0:08 Jingle 0:14 The Challenge 2:03 The Shoot 2:56 The Library 6:51 Post Processing 9:32 The Photos 9:54 Final Words
Three weeks using my Macro lens for 52Frames
Переглядів 1354 місяці тому
For three weeks in my 52Frames journey, I've only used my Macro lens. In the wide-open aperture, I photographed a butterfly, a reflection of a tulip (my favourite flower), and, for details, my wedding/engagement ring. Two of the photos were studio-type photos without any studio lights. 0:00 Intro 0:15 Jingle 0:21 Wide Aperture 5:38 Wide Aperture Edit 6:36 Wide Aperture Photos 6:53 Reflection 12...

Carli, your photographs are stunning. Thanks for sharing. God bless you!
Thank you so much!
TOO LATE, I TOOK THOSE PHOTOGRAPHS LONG LONG TIME AGO.
It’s always challenging to discover hidden locations and photos during my first trip to a new country. Since I had never been to Singapore before, everything I saw and captured was exciting to me. Therefore, I apologize if you didn’t find any value in my video.
Welcome to Singapore! Awesome video ❤
Thank you! 😃
Thanks for sharing your ideas.
It's my pleasure
Very beautiful photos of Singapore through your sharp eyes and lens. Thank you

Thank you! 😃 I Can't wait to visit again, and wil definitely be back again.
My God. Your photographs and videos are out of this world! Do you sell them? Imam sure the tourist promotion board of singapore would love to use some of your pics. U can email them and show them some of your takes. I think they will be blown out of the mind with how professional your photos are. You are a true professional!
Thank you so much for you very kind words and amazing comment. I currently do not sell my photos, but maybe one day 🤞
@photographywithcarli you should. Some people might like your shots and want to have it framed!
Hi Carli, great video and stunningly beautiful photographs, I really like the panorama! Thanks for sharing😊
Thanks so much! 😊
your video is fun and instructive, with good ideas. it is pleasant to look at
Thank you very much!
WOWWW!! Loved this week’s video! Well done! So much amazing footage of your travels, thanks for taking us with you guys. Your photos are breathtakingly beautiful 🤩
Thanks so much!!
It´s the process and having fun and be inspired! Do not mangle Your angryness with the outcome of Your work. May be You can improve, I Like it! And thanks for Your video!
So true, and thank you for the kind words.
I love your videos. They have given me so much inspiration to push my own photographic ideas. I had to subscribe🤩
Yay! Thank you! And welcome aboard.
I think you chose a challenging studio shot. It's not bad. I agree overall with your video assessment but I think the result not as "meh" as you feel it is. I can imagine this image as a poster in a local grocery store. Add some words and voilà, you have an advertizement. I think you should start a commercial portfolio and add this one to it.
Thank you so much, your comment means a lot.
Nice idea 👍! What lens did you use? De horizon is a bit harsh; 2 white square acryl plates (curved whitepaper / cardbord ) or other color would be better i guess since the egg shell is white too.
Thank you, I went with the white because I wanted to achieve that high-key look for my photo. The shells were just a little detail since I wanted the main focus on the spoon and yolk.
@@photographywithcarli 👍
Great fun, I needed this during lockdown, such an inspiration 👍
Thank you, so glad you enjoyed it!
Nice result, love the final photo.
Thank you!
Creativity at it‘s very best!😊

❤Your Project! Happy I stumbled upon it! 😊
Yay! Thank you!
Eggcellent, thank you
Hehe, thank you so much.
The matches were all eye catching shots. Thanks for an interesting video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Interesting composition. Nice
Many thanks!
this is absolutely inspiring me to look at the mundane things and situations around me in a new light. please keep this up!
Thank you so much for your comment, and I agree that I too love to blame my location or lack of equipment for my inferior photos.
very relaxing to watch. Thank you
Thank you and glad you enjoyed it
Very creative thank you for sharing
Thank you! Cheers!
You did a wonderful job executing your concepts. I love the egg photo.
Thank you so much!
I love the results you got! I love it when such simple setups results in such great looking photos
Thank you so much for your comment. 🙂
I'm happy to have shared in some of the chaos of your trip. The Botswana trip was quite spectacular to see just by looking at the video. The baby elephant was absolutely adorable.🥰🥰
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi, I really enjoyed your video but, the underlining music is by far too loud. It almost kills your voice. I love the landscape, it remembers me on my past years living in Southern Africa.
Hi Hans, thank you so much for the kind words and feedback, somebody else also mentioned that to me, and will look into the sound issue.
@@photographywithcarli Greetings from,no offence, hope to see more of your videos.🍀🍀
Once again, I enjoyed reading your post. When you started cleaning up all the unwanted power lines, it felt like I'm handling the eraser myself. Well-done!
Thank you so much.
Another great watch, I liked the golden poles aswell but final photo was def something else…💪💁🏼♀️
Thanks 👍
Carli, what a way to start my week! Absolutely awesome. For this week I personally liked the Nike one. The other nature photos were eye-catching.
Thanx for the feedback. I love finding out everybody's favorite photo especially this week since I had so many I was fond of.
Loved the nature footage and duckings, your videos keep getting better ❣️
Thank you so much ☺️
Lovely images in my favourite genre, monochrome. Great post processing
Thank you so much ☺️
Wow love the colors! Enjoyed watching this!!! Thanks Carli!!!!!
Thank you so much, and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Greart photo of the bridge. One of my favourite places when I visited Dubai. The music is awesome and very effective.
Thank you so much, I agree that it's one of Dubai's best spots. I also love the bridge photo, and it's probably my favorite of the tolerance bridge I've got thus far.
I love the photo with the reflection of her hand and tennisball in the waterpool. ❤
Yes!!! I saw the donut & little faces too🙌🏻and Tiny saw a number 5 in the first pic 💁🏼♀️Another great, interesting, colorful, illuminating watch…👀Thanks Carli can’t wait for the next one…🤭
Thank you for your kind feedback, and I’m gonna go look for that 5.
Carli you are doing an amazing job. I love to be able to follow you from planning to final. It’s awesome. How do you chose the music
Thank you so much ☺️, glad you’re enjoying it. Music is a big part of every video, since every scene has a mood I try to create. With this one specifically, I went with classical music since it always work well with nature, look at any of BBC’s planet earths, the mood and story is always created with the music.
I’m definitely now one of you groupies. I love no 1&2. Difficult choice ❤❤
AWESOME music, vibe, lights & atmosphere caught in this video. LOVED IT🤩🤩🤩
ADORABLE. Love these!
Thank you so much 🥰
What can I say, outstanding, stunning video clip….keep it going, loving it
