Classic example of how art can tear open taboos and be both positive and negative... There is no denying there was some beautiful art here.....but their behaviour has also been appalling... (I'm referring to how they dealt with the kids and an incident where Watkin Jones(Ninja) & Anri Du Toit(Yolandi Visser) chase and assault a guy...{She falsely alleges he touched her inappropriately - At the same time she is laughing and calling him gay f_____ etc...just gross...Cowardly behavior........) If you want to know why i say these things: My deep(ish) dive: I was shocked because i really liked the music and had them all wrong (i thought they were beautiful and brought joy to all those around them - especially the poor and vulnerable), so i watched a few of these 'scandal vids'. Here is my journey down the rabbit hole. With LINKS: i feel like his life (Tokkie) would have been the same regardless if he's met the infamous Die Antwoord couple but then, i wouldn't have a clue....No one really knows and all the ppl who are outraged hav no idea what usually happens to kids in that kind of environment. (It's usually a lot worse. <- Not a justification just trying to add perspective. It's not like they took a kid from a loving, stable environment and corrupted him) BTW: Ppl who do these interviews with Tokkie are pretty much doing the same thing Ninja(Watkin Jones) & Yolandi did...(Exploiting him) BTW: I watched several videos trying to understand this whole sad story about Tokkie - in the end it was actually an incident at a concert that made me decide that (despite the typical 'shock-value' reporting), they are NOT nice people. They were NOT deeply down, growing up rough (as far as i know anyway), and therefore shouldn't have allowed it to go on with kids.
