Motor has been great, its clear Scout designed the boat around the 90-2stroke we get 4-6mpg cruising at 32mph w/ 2 people and fishing gear; that adds up to like ~120mile range according to the fuel sensor I installed. The boat is rated to 6 people but I would not go more than 4 and 2 small kids. I would not put 6 adults there is not space. It's a great boat for running around and the flats but not a great family cruiser, I would go larger. It's a simple boat to learn to DIY anything and everything on. I have rewired and replaced about everything now on ours.

@@YourFriendStChris Hello! I love the dual AGM with RedARC. I picked up the Fox with the discount and actually have a BDS skidplate under the front I forgot to mention.

Those are two great routes! I have been to all of those locations except Bluff Lake. The first one is going to be more of a swamp while the second is more of an open "grassland". The paddle back into Stephen C. Foster (Paddling though cypress trees) is much nicer than the Suwannee Canal (the Canal is what you think a long straight open cut through the swamp, we did not see much there). Round Top was the prettiest camp that is the thumbnail image. Overall you cannot go wrong but for your first time I would recommend the first one due to spending more time in the swamp. I did install them they bail water sometimes when on plane but 99% of the time I keep them plugged when actually on the water.

No I measured the inside opening on the hatch and worked with boatoutfitters.com and had a hatch made. They were great and very fast on the production.

Thanks! I have not been further offshore than heading out of the harbor and around the ocean side to Morris Island Lighthouse and it handled the chop wonderfully. I also took the boat down to the FL Keys and ~10miles offshore to the reefs which it handled the waves better than the 18' Parker we rented for the other members of the group. Good luck with the 175, I heard that hull also does great if you repower with a 4stroke!

What kind of mpg's are you getting at different rpms? I'd love to know how much you payed for that swim ladder, I'll probably do the same thing to mine. Really like how that looks in SS

I cruise around 30mph @3600rpm that is two adults full gas and lots of gear and the GFS reports 6mpg average for just cruising at the speed. I typically get to plane as quick as possible and try to stay there and just cruise. I have a 32gallon tank so typically the Garmin tells me 100+ mile range on the boat cruising with the 90 2Stroke.@@user-ej1bq4bq2w

Boatoutfitters.com they have a custom hatch door option. It was expensive but very nice for what it is! If I remember right it was about $250.

phone service is spotty at best! you will hit a few spots that it will work, but if you find them the best thing is to sit your phone down and talk on the speaker. any movement will disconnect you. i have a pile of videos on my channel that may help you plan your trip. the skeeters can be brutal at times, but it is really only first thing in the morning or late in the evening that they get rough, take your bug dope and a thermacell. the worst critter down there is a yella fly, they won't be out till summer but i hate them suckers!

This trip was early May and the mosquitoes came out blood thirsty as soon as the sun set! We hammock camped on every platform and had bugnets. Mosquitoes and Yellow flies were never really present for us during the daylight hours; granted there was a unique cold front moving though at the time which kept temps in the 60s for early May!! Like Chris commented; make sure you bring the bug spray!!

We had pretty good service at Mail Hammock and then patchy at Round Top but no where else; that was with Verizon.

Okefenokee Swamp has more gators than we have ever seen in one place before, but they are really chill and don't bother you unless you provoke it! They just like to splash around and make a scene...very dramatic! lol.
