Ride on my Honda CB125T 1978

Bought my Honda cb125t a couple of days ago and this is one of my first rides.
How many teeths on front and rear sprockets ?
So ein Schwachkopf 😅.
As an owner of a CB125 - it needs to be revved even higher for maximum acceleration
I had the same bike in 1982 at the age of 17. I remember tailgating a BMW on the A3 and seeing an indicated 90mph. No word of a lie, remember it like it was yesterday. Loved that bike. 635 UK pounds OTR in June 1982.
Cracking little bike, revved its nuts off,it was my second bike after an AP50,started a life time biking😊
I was kinda confused cause release a clutch is so fast can someone explain it?
If you don't know how to ride, this bike must have high revs
Ridiculous .... iding about 2,500rpm at the end , instead of between 1000-1400pm.. bad clutch operation- pulls in clutch, coasts, drops gears then over revs into another gear..out of a gentle bend.. then gets up to speed and repeats the same bad clutch operation.... btw 2 stroke bikes have gearboxes too.... so you dont need to coast those when dropping down from say 5th-4th-3rd, just to negociate a bend lol

Broooo.... 1:21 DO NOT slow down with pressed clutch like that... Just let it slow down with engine and go gradually from the current gear to second gear as the rpm go lower, then press the clutch and stop completely. It is something else when it comes to emergency braking with the priority to stop as quickly as possible. But here, with smooth slowing down, it's nonsence to unnecessarily demage the clutch and brakes.
I have 2 honda cb 125.1977 and 1979 model❤❤
Super👍👍👍
I got mine up to 140kmh/87mph. Then I "upgraded" to a CB250N Super Dream which was slower. It topped out at 135kmh/84mph. Needless to say that was a major disappointment.
Yes but when the speedo says 130 on GPS its like 108
lol, no u didn.
I've ridden both and they both did 70 flat out but 250N much nicer ride cuz it was a full size bike made for export markets
How many PS have your bike
This older model has 15 hp and the one model thats newer has 17 or 18
Try a 14 teeth front sproket. You gear ratio is way too long. Original 15 teeth should be 11000 rpm at 120kmh! With 14 teeth you are at 120kmh 12000 rpm. Way better acceleration to reach faster 130kmh, better torque, low rev smoothess and better with 1 passenger. ua-cam.com/video/5SHNVWdNoG8/v-deo.html&ab_channel=RomanoExplore
I'm thinking of getting on of those for my son as his first motorcycle to get his A1 licence on. Any pros and cons? Read there can be a lot of work to have the carbs running synced and smooth on them?
Its a fun first bike i had to clean the carburator once then it worked well but my friends cb125t from like 1981 i think has had some problems with the carburator, but other then that its a good first bike, only real problem ive had is that the chain broke.
And a real big pro is that it doesnt drink fuel like at all, saw on some website they said it goes 48,2kmpl
@@williamw1197 Thanks for the reply!👍
@@williamw1197 By the way, how is the brakes holding up on it?
@@RVRCloset mine were bad at first but that’s probably cause it’s old it was just a quick fix to get them working good agian
I'm sure you've figured this out by now, but if you want to get power out of in 3rd and especially 4th, going into 5th you need to rev right to 11-12k rpm. Peak power is at 11k, peak torque is just below that, so you need to shift at high rpm so you land in the power band of the gear you shifted into.
Yeah that was one of the first times driving it so was a bit scared to rev it out but thx however.
Is there any place to buy genuine parts for this bike ?
Tbh idk when I bought the Honda we had all parts needed and only needed to clean the carburetor
Was not used to drive a 4t so thats why i used the cluth alot
yeah its like any other clutch... you press it when you need to
@Salman Khan On 2t You cant engine break so u need to Press clutch while off throttle
@@stanisawmaj1374 it is a 4 stroke
@@williamw1197 i know I own the same bike:)
Great video but you shouldn't use the coupling so long and often.
Yeah im getting used to driving 4 stroke, thx for advice.
