Fuckin terrifying. I’d say get it on a trailer but I’m sure you already know what’s up
Thanks for thinking of us. Unfortunately, this boat is a little too big for a trailer.
@@Saltyhoosiers I feel ya. Idk how I’d feel tying my dang boat up hoping to see it again like that. Stay strong
@@Saltyhoosiers how’d it go??
@74nova36 talked with a neighbor, boat us still there...
@@Saltyhoosiers hell yeah! Hope you didn’t get too much water and debris on board or too many scratches to the gel coat
May God be with you.
@OhMeOhMyntzich thanks for thinking of us. It is all in the Big guys hands now!

What hurricane? There's no hurricane. They never form an eye
good luck brother...hope she makes it
@@T-Black-mw3 Thanks! I think we're going to be good.
First thing I would do is read the BUS (I’m assuming CAN like a car) and verify that the computer sees the throttle position at the same interval you have it set. If not, it’s the throttle position sensor. Next, check your fuel pressure at throttle and make sure it isn’t dropping off for some reason. A decent scan tool will really be your best friend here though because you will be able to see all of the values you need to properly diagnose this. Fuel trim (assuming it’s injected), mass air flow, etc. if it’s an old school carbureted 350, just stick to fuel pressure and look at the plugs to see if it’s running lean or rich. These are just generic steps that I would use on any engine showing this problem.
Unfortunately, with Mercruiser engines the BUS is not like a car. You have to have a "special" Code reader that costs $800. It is Fuel injected TBI. some of my boat friends are thinking it is either IAC or the MAP Sensor.
@@Saltyhoosiers I’m not sure how this could be an IAC problem, mostly because I’m not familiar with the IAC controlling anything other than the idle. It usually regulates a little bypass servo that alllows some air in at closed throttle to allow the motor to idle. I would really check the TPS first, but it’s totally your choice. Hope you get it worked out.
Air, fuel, spark, timing.
That narrows it down! LOL
@@Saltyhoosiers I hear you. I'm just putting them in order, based on likelihood and easiest to fix. I hope it's not compression, hence why I left it off! Best of luck.
Checklist looks solid! Probably could use a little less water though 😂
It's an optical illusion because of the Slim Cans. Gotta stay Hydrated!
