That is one thing I loved about Nevada - unending Desolate Terrain, so the driving down the 'washboard road' was cool. I cranked the speedometer to 0.25 Playback and put on my own favorite music.
We loved the quietness of it all too 👍🏽👍🏽
Interesting travelogue. I would've enjoyed a bit more time on the ghost town, and the sculptures there.
Thank you.
So much beauty at every turn. Thank you for sharing your journey.
Thank you. Glad you liked it 👍🏽
Is this a one way road.... no other cars?
No. Two way traffic. Great road.
Fantastic and remember most of the locations. Excellent editing June👌
That was great. Your best yet. The song selection was nice, and the sound level was perfect. Seamless transitions and a nice use of photos. 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks folks. 👍🏽👍🏽
Now if you let both tyres down and crawled up you might have had a chance.
Did think about that but I didn’t think it would work there. 👍🏽👍🏽
The picture that came up on this video,....in my UA-cam suggestions,.. in front of the old blue pickup and Cafe sign is the exact spot where I took a picture of my girlfriend when we were driving through Tucumcari. She still uses it as her main Facebook profile picture.
Love it.
Great trip as usual. ❤
Thanks mate. Were the levels any better?
@@ClewleysOnTour yes. We were wondering. Nice work.
Great trip Legends. We are looking forward to seeing the mountains now....
There is a lot of mountain footage 😂😂😂
@ClewleysOnTour we can't wait. Looking forward to hearing Bob's voice over too.
Another great video June and Bob. We've got to agree. Apart from the big name places, there's nothing worth staying there for in LA. Eben Beverly Hills is nothing special. A good place to drive away from😉
Thanks mate. Not sure we’d have ever gone there if it hadn’t been for Route 66. We are much more mountain rural folk 😂😂
@@ClewleysOnTour totally agree mate. Found LA dirty. Love the rural parts, especially the national parks like Joshua Tree and Zion
❤❤❤good one
Thanks.
Thank you for the great tips, very helpful, and its was nice to see June behind the wheel. We are really enjoying your vlogs, thank you again for sharing you trip with us.
Great we can share mate.
This section seemed full of activity and vibrant towns. Loved seeing the snow with backdrop of the red rocky cliffs. Well done on this vlog, it was very enjoyable to watch.
There is just so much out here to see. 😄
@@ClewleysOnTour yes, we might need two separate trips there 🤣
😂😂
We are disappointed Bob didn't have a go at eating that steak HA HA HA. Great scenery on this vlog, your drone shots are great.
Thanks mate. NPs won’t allow them sadly. Lots of other opportunities though
@@ClewleysOnTour yes, still lots of great spots
Another great vlog, we see that one of the bridges was weight restricted, is there any apps/brochures advising you of the locations of these load limits? Thank you for the share 🙂
Not that I’m aware. We tend to look at Google Street view beforehand if we’re in doubt. Only been caught a couple of times 😂😂
@ClewleysOnTour okie dokie, at least it hasn't happened that often
Another great vlog, that street art was impressive, what time of year did you go through here?
November time. Nice and quiet. The way we like it 😁😁
@@ClewleysOnTour ok thank you
Very enjoyable vlog, thank you. It was great seeing all the 'big' iconic statues, and the scenery.
Thanks folks. You’ll love the scenery out here.
❤❤❤
Loved Sedona when we were there a few years back. In fact my God-daughter is called Sedona 😂. Shug & Karen.
We will be going back for sure. It’s beautiful
Great to see a wee Scottish badge on the Van in Canada. LOL. Shug and Karen.
😂😂😂. We love it up there. Stunning scenery
Loved Santa Rosa, Jessops roadhouse and the Blue hole. We had to make a side trip to Clovis as one of the Harleys got a puncture
There are some stunning places along 66 for sure.
Brought back some great memories 👌
More to follow mate. 😂😂
Good work guys! Enjoying your trip as much as ours, there is so much to see in small town America. Our rig is on it’s way back to the U.K., we will be home soon after a truly memorable time.
Thanks. We are behind a little but June is working hard on catching up. I saw a post from you in one of the groups I think saying your van is heading home. Where to next? Do you full time?
@@ClewleysOnTourHave been in the US 11 months in the camper, we don’t full time but away for extended periods since retiring in 2014. Before anything else really looking forward to hugging family and friends after almost a year and camping trips with them, after that back to Europe then maybe Morocco again and on into Mauritania, watch this space….
One day we will do our Vanlife adventure through the USA. One day. 🥰 Jake - New Subscriber! 👋
The time will come I’m sure 👍🏽👍🏽
@@ClewleysOnTour It will indeed, problem is I wouldn't want to leave! haha
Earth to Bob.....
Nice one again. Awesome trip....🎉
What a beautiful place. And such a lovely voice. Now its Bobs turn. 😂😂
You don’t want to hear my voice for sure. Especially at the moment with a cold 😂😂😂
Bingeing to catch up. Very nice. ❤
Thanks folks
Well, that made us jump. We both said "finally" at the same time. So good to her your voice-over. Well done. Great trip.
The time had to come 😂😂
Hello I have a plan to travel here Is it hard to drive here in a camper van? Is it okay not to consider such things as overheating of the engine or breakage of the camper van? My camper van is 6m long, 2.5m wide, and 3m high VW GRAND CALIFORNIA
We found it easy enough in our Hymer MLT560. 6.7m long. 👍🏽👍🏽
We used a tiny border crossing to come back into the US and had a lemon and an avocado confiscated !
😂😂😂
Glad you are having a great trip and staying safe, looks fantastic 😀
Thanks mate. 👍🏽👍🏽
Wow, what a great way to visit Chicago. First time for me! Thanks.
Are you getting lots of interest in your U.K. van? We feel like minor celebs as this is a daily occurrence!
Yes they are fascinated by its size I think. 😂😂
Looks lovely. Did you get an America the Beautiful Card, subs around 80$ per year, have used mine for over 400$ worth of National Parks.Well worth the money if you intend to visit several NPs for entrance fee and sometimes reduced park camp fees.
Yes it’s great. I, Bob, got the senior card offered me at $20 👍🏽👍🏽
Very nice video. Thank you for sharing.
Very nice video. Thank you for sharing.
Know exactly how you felt! We shipped Southampton to Charlston SC for warmer weather in March, in all 5 weeks with a week delay either end. Have been on the road since then what a trip! Out of interest were you allowed personal things in the camper at own risk and did you partition off the habitation area from the cab?
It’s fantastic isn’t it. We were told the Motorhome had to ‘appear’ empty. We went for Canada as I hear it’s easier. Certainly appeared easy. 😂😂 Fortunately our Hymer MLT 560 has a separate garage with extra locks so we stuffed a lot in there 😂😂 I hear now that you can’t ship Lithium with some agencies.
I don’t believe for one minute that The Old Man didn’t have lobster and Chocolate crisps at the same time …
I didn’t. But only because we didn’t have the crisps when eating the lobster 😂😂
Oh wow Halifax looks amazing! We are shipping into Halifax thats our plan so we are excited to see this side of Canada. Thanks for sharing 👍
We loved Halifax. I’m sure you’ll love it. When are you shipping?
@@ClewleysOnTour cannot wait. Hopefully next year. 🙏
Canada and the US are such a great place to tour! #rollingsouth_ Are you following Snow and Curt an American couple who live in their van and have just shipped to Europe with 2 cats?
@@vivienogden9916 we love USA and Canada can't wait to return with our van. No but will give then a follow. Thank you 😊
Happy to see Fort Louisburg again. Must dig up our slides from 2004... Oh, dear, so long ago...
Time passes too fast 😂😂
Love the video June great narration👌 We think you need to get a couple of lure rods😉.Excellent editing.Rach and Dave(Brown,) TVP
Thanks mate. June’s voice is far better than mine 😂😂
@@ClewleysOnTour almost a "This is the BBC" voice 😉 Easy to listen to 👌
We are hoping for summers longer than 5 minutes when we get there. 🙏
😂😂😂😂
Love this mate!!! Quality editing👌
June spends ages on these. She is so organised.
@@ClewleysOnTour knows her way round an editing suite then 😉👌
@rovingrods all done on the iPad. LumaFusion. Great little app 👍🏽
Very interesting historical place 😊
We loved it there. 👍🏽👍🏽
Oh my word!!!👌🥂
An absolutely beautiful bird look at that fella
